Lit Brews - Coffee Shop and Book Store Lubbock — Restaurant in Lubbock

I moved to Lubbock in January of 2025 and was saddened when I noticed there wasn’t an indie bookshop that also had a coffee shop. When I searched on Tik Tok I found Lizzy’s (the owner) profile and she was talking about her dream to open just that, but it hadn’t come to fruition yet. She started a website where I signed up to be in the know about when it would open, the countdown began, and today was the big day! All I have to say is how immensely impressed I am with her ability to make her dream into a reality and it is an honor to patronize this beautiful store!! The coffee is divine, the ambiance is every bookish persons dream, and witnessing her close friends/family help her run the operation was the cherry on top of a perfectly constructed bookstore. Lit brews atmosphere is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It is a book lovers dream when you step through the doors! Not only is the owner the most darling person but the coffee is exceptional. It’s smooth and balances the service is quick and the flavors are endless. Knowing that her family helps her makes the enter business feel 10x more wholesome. The books are awesome and well priced, and Lizzy even offers to order any books you may want to purchase that she doesn’t have! I love this cozy book space and the delicious coffee that’s always brewed with loved . I don’t have a favorite drink because every coffee and tea I’ve tried has been great. I highly recommend the “Blind Date with a Book” — it’s such a fun experience! I also appreciate how involved she is in the community, from organizing food drives to supporting first responders and hosting fun events.
