Don’t bother booking your event here. My brother just recently had his wedding here, and a lot of things went wrong:
They rushed us out during rehearsal on a Wednesday. The management’s excuse was “we still have chairs and tables to set”. Came back on Friday the day of the wedding and as of 5:45pm (start time) they were still setting chairs, and the ones that were set, weren’t lined up nicely to the table, they were placed on a rush. CAUSED OUR WEDDING TO BEGIN LATE.
The dance floor was disgusting, it’s stained and scuffed. The drape was coming undone, and they were using Bobby pins to hold it together. The power output were loose and there weren’t many of them. The room also had a “smell” which I can’t really explain, but you can tell it was lack of maintenance.
They were storing random chairs and seats within the ballroom space. The food was ok, nothing special.
This venue also triples up as a nightclub/bar with a mini casino room. Cops came to the venue on different occasions. The bathroom doors for women were wide open, lacking privacy.
What they call “wheelchair accessibility” are really these raggity ramps that shake and slide on top of the stairs (a slight upgrade from a plywood board). The parking lot needs to be redone, concrete is breaking towards the back of it.
Servers and bartenders were nice, but the management can seriously benefit from event and hospitality training.
They didn’t receive the final payment and waited to bring it up in the middle of the reception, making threats of shutting the party down to the groom and bride. Something you guys could’ve brought up a week or even days prior, not in the middle of the party. They immediately received their payment and I’ve never seen such a fake, robotic, and forced apology for doing so. Congrats on upsetting the one couple of the whole reception that actually mattered.
It’s obvious that this is a struggling business hasn’t invested in upkeeping and remodeling. They haven’t invested in their own home apparently, and I would suggest anyone planning to have their wedding or event here...
Read moreI had my wedding here in October. Needless to say my star rating I did not have a very good experience. I will start at the very beginning. First I set my starting time at 6:30 simply because we were going to be having our ceremony in the hall and the wedding next door started at 7. Well I walked into the room and there was a marriachi band playing loud as can be even though that wedding was not supposed to have been started yet. So needless to say the video of our vows has loud as music playing in the background ruining the moment. Next some of the servers were rude to my guests when my guests asked for more food to be brought to the tables. Then for some reason my cake was removed from the room without a word before it was even cut. My Dj chased someone down to have it brought back. We were behind on timing because the "manager" was no where to be found to dim lights and such. We also asked the temperature be turned down a bit as my guests were sweating just sitting at the tables. When my husband gave them a call to bring up to them what had happened they sent 2 "complimentary" airline tickets. Which are never going to be used because there is a website to follow on these tickets and I got to the webpage and its not a legitimaye website. I don't complain much but a wedding day is something to be remembered and you pay all of this money to have a great memorable day. I will say the best of this place were the bartenders! Simple. How they handled our complaints was absolutely ridiculous! I wouldn't suggest for a wedding. At all I'm very disappointed that I have to remember my...
Read moreI was here for a wedding. I know this place has been around forever. Decor has not been updated in years, but people keep going there. My first impression was going to the bar for a drink. Bartender was very friendly as I did not know what I wanted to drink. He asked if he could make me something fun and I was like sure. He asked me a few more questions to get an idea of what I would enjoy. I watched as he poured white wine, peach schnapps, pineapple juice, splash of cranberry and splash of 7up in a glass. Yes it was tasty! The entire time I watched him making the drink I looked down at the bar mat that he was making the drink on. It was beyond filthy, dirty, and moldy. I think it was a Southern Comfort mat but you could barely make out the letters because it was black! I'm sorry but these mats are given out for free from the distributors. And a quick run through the dish machine at the end of the night is a matter of cleanliness. Shame on the bartender for working on that and for management for not walking through their own establishment and noticing it. If a small bar mat is that filthy, what else is?
Food was ok for dinner. It was your traditional beef/chicken/mostaccioli. And yes the entire time I was eating, I could not stop thinking about that...
