I am a regular customer of IHOP restaurants. One Sunday, my friends and I visited the location at 7240 W 79th St, Bridgeview, IL 60455. Our server was Susu. Unfortunately, she did not introduce herself, so we had to read her name from her name tag. She wasn’t friendly and never smiled, which affected the overall atmosphere of our visit. When taking our order, she asked how I wanted my eggs for the avocado toast. I requested hard-boiled eggs, but the order arrived with eggs that were not cooked as requested. Additionally, she seemed unsure of who ordered what and distributed the dishes randomly.
During the meal, no one checked on us to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. At the end of our visit, we wanted to split the check between three credit cards. Initially, Susu told us this was not possible, but after speaking with the manager, we were informed it was allowed. Another server, Trish, assisted with the payment process, but there was an error in entering the amounts, which required voiding the check. Unfortunately, Trish handled the situation very unprofessionally, raising her voice and appearing visibly upset.
While I understand mistakes can happen, the way they were handled made the experience uncomfortable. It would be great if Susu could receive additional training in customer service to improve her interactions with guests. I also hope that payment procedures can be clarified for the staff to avoid similar issues in the future.
I attempted to leave this review earlier, but it didn’t appear for some reason. I am posting it again because I believe feedback is important to help improve the customer experience.
Overall, this experience left me disappointed, and I am unlikely to return to this location. I hope the management addresses these concerns to improve the experience for...
Read more8/22/23 spent $58.38, My sister and I ate here, we are seniors and were treated very poorly like dogs. Our waitress came after we sat there almost 45 minutes to take our order. After we had to flag her down to take our order. Then she acted like she had an attitude and was not friendly at all. We were set by the air vents and we were freezing, And we asked to be moved she told us to move Where we want to when I asked her where was a better spot She had no answer, so we ended up getting up from the table. Moving to a different table on our own. The table we moved to was so dirty. With syrup on it, we had to clean it off. Ourselves because nobody came to us we were ready to sit down, we are seniors. We didn't get extra napkins the food was cold only my pancakes were warm, She never came to check on us. The whole time we were eating. I ordered breakfast and my sister ordered a burger and fry and a take out Order. Our waitress Patricia p gave us a bill. That's the only time we saw her after our food came. My sister ordered a lemonade and she gave her a kiddie cup. My sister wanted a refill but could not find the waitress. The bill was paid with a debit card and she told us to fill The whole Receive out because she know we're not gonna give her a tip. Then we knew it was time to go because this lady Truly had issues or a problem, So my sister went to the washroom. Who is 74 years old And I took the doggy bags to the car, then she called me and said someone came in the washroom and cut the light out on her while she was in the stall, I had to come back in to check on her to make sure she was okay and safe. I talked to someone in customer service but I have not gotten a reply back Yet on their investigation. I told them to pull the cameras. Very poor customer...
Read moreThese are some happy notes and some sad notes here... So use your best judgment.. For one my cheeseburgers were great plenty of burger plenty of bacon and very delicious the bun was actually delicious... The pancakes were nice and fluffy and great. My wife's ultimate big meaty breakfast was wonderful and enjoyed it immensely. Now there special ricotta cheese blueberry crepes were delicious but very small as you can see by the picture I'm leaving ,look how big the knife is and look how big the crepes are, or should I say look how small they are, not very big at all but again delicious but not big. Now those are $12 when asked for more and usually you get a better deal for crepes would have been $24 which makes no sense. If a burger is $12 and you want an extra Patty on there to make it a double cheeseburger you don't charge another $12 now do you. So really no deals there. They don't have the big array of syrup anymore that you used to have they do not have the four or five compliment tray anymore we were given small little plastic sample size cups of syrup and did not know which one was which. And the butter was hard instead of getting soft butter for your hot and soft pancakes. They don't serve the unlimited coffee anymore like they used to. I think this particular IHOP has changed over to new owners. So again there is good here and there is not so good here.. I've been coming here for many many years and have not seen this particular turnaround.. the giant TVs are annoying, especially with the radio blasting through the speakers. It should be a time for family and get together not to TVs. And again I'm going and based my experience on food and quality. And this is way after covid. Just not the IHOP I used to...
