Dollar General — Local services in Stickney Township

The black lady with her head shaved and have the 6 little colorful braids is RUDE. I walked to the register she was just up there ringing a man up. When I came up to checkout she was at the register close to the manager office. I walked to the register close to the door. She looks me dead in my eyes and says oh you need to ring that bell. I looked at her chuckled and rang the bell. Here comes the younger black girl dragging her feet to the register area taking her sweet time to ring me out. This is not the first encounter I had with the lady with the 6 braids. She is VERY VERY RUDE. If you are not happy with your job LEAVE. Because real customer service you would have took the time to ring me up, instead of being rude and going in the office talking about oh my ankle is killing me STAY HOME. Do better...

The store manager at the checkout counter was extremely rude. She took back some of the items I had placed at the register to purchase, saying, “We don’t sell these.” Then why are they on the shelf?! When I asked the reason, she said, “I’m the boss here, and we don’t sell these anymore,” in a very unpleasant and disrespectful manner.

On top of that, she charged me for THREE 1-CENT ITEMS, 30 CENT ITEM and 50 CENT ITEM but DID NOT GIVE THEM TO ME. Unbelievable! How is this even possible? If you’re not going to sell the items, regardless of their price, WHY AM I BEING CHARGED FOR THEM?

Beware, their prices are always off sometimes the digital coupon won't be applied when it should, came here and had a very nasty lady assist me. Her attitude was very disgusting and she couldn't help anything although she saw the prices in the store were different from the ones on my receipt, rolling her eyes, not saying anything. It was bad enough I had to put seven items back because she said she couldn't override them, I got home and found two more items where my digital coupon wasn't applied when it should've been.
