I usually go to DeKalb farmers market on the other side of town but seeing that it was rainy today I decided to look up a farmers' markets nearby . This location popped up and I went ahead and headed over. I was in search of catfish and some chicken wings when I got there the man that gave me the catfish was so sweet and told me to have a nice day then I circled around and grab some chicken wings on the way to the checkout. I got behind a lady who told me that the cashier was rude and she got into another line with her buggy. I had no idea what was going on, so I got into the same line that the lady had left. There was a cashier name Marissa there and she was ringing out Another lady. The lady was at the end of her order. All she had to do was pay. For some reason, Marissa grabbed one of my items and rang it with the other ladies items that was paying while I looked in the nearby refrigerator to grab a Red Bull. I had three items I had now had the Red Bull, the chicken wings, and the fish. She only grabs one of my items and added it to the ladies order, which I thought was odd because why not take all of them if you thought they belong to the lady, the lady ended up telling her those were not her items but by the time we realized she rung up the items on the wrong ticket. The transaction approved. I confirmed to the lady that those were my items and it was like instantly the cashier a.k.a. Marissa became very angry. She barely wanted to speak to the lady that she was assisting and then she asked for a supervisor to come over. The supervisor nicely came over and took the customer to customer service to help her with the refund and the cashier Marissa went ahead and started to service me the whole time she assisted me she was very rude. She picked up my items very heavily and slam them back down on the counter. Then I noticed that the checkout was telling me to sign a signature, but I hadn't cashed out yet. I tried to show her that the checkout was asking for a signature. She snatched the POS around so fast with the attitude and then spent it back after she Cleared it. At this point, I was just going to let it go, but before I could clear my mind and go ahead and pay for my items she let out another weird gesture. I looked her in her eyes, and I asked her was she OK? I let her know that she was being very, very rude to me. I asked her to please cash me out so I can get out of her line, and I didn't appreciate her behavior. THEN SHE ATTEMPTED TO THROW MY RECEIPT ON THE COUNTER INSTEAD OF PLACING IT IN MY HAND! I instantly went to find a supervisor! The lady apologized and said she would talk to her. But higher ups need to know about her behavior. I still thanked the cashier through it all! Now I see why the first lady ran off. It was my first time at this location. I have never shopped there before, and that was the craziest reaction I've ever received from a cashier in my life. I worked at Publix for five years and never have I ever taken my mistake out on a customer. She should be in the back maybe doing stocking or something she should not be working with the general public. Other than that, everybody else's customer service was great. I never get on Google and write bad reviews, but this one had to be written because at the end of the day I worked in customer service in Publix and for major airlines and I've never displayed this behavior. Just based off the man that weighed my fish today I may come back, but I don't think so. I'll be going across town to DeKalb fresh...
Read moreStopped in here to pick up a few items on 8/20. The store was busy, so a wait was to be expected upon check out. At the very end of my transaction, the cashier left me and the 4 people standing behind me, to go to the customer service counter to translate for another employee who doesn't speak English. Apparently, the person she was translating to, was the manager on duty. This action made absolutely no sense to me, the manager was not waiting on any customers at the time, so she could have walked to the register to get the translation she needed, as opposed to making everyone in line wait until they were done. The employee doing the bagging said she couldn't give me my receipt, which was all that I needed to complete my purchase. The cashier should've given me that before nonchalantly walking off. When I walked over I asked to speak to a manager and inquired as to why she would leave me and a line of people behind me to do something else? Stefhanie laughed, however the situation wasn't funny and the people in line behind me were not amused either. After receiving my receipt, I walked to the customer service desk where the woman standing behind the counter informed me that she was the manager. She was rude and not a good representative for the store, the conversation was short, as actual customer service is not her strong suit. I'll do myself a favor in future and go back to Dekalb or Buford Farmers Markets. Never had a bad experience at either and the selections are better, I'll go out of my way to get better service, my patronage...
Read moreI visited your store on March 26, 2025, between 5-6 PM to purchase plantains, habanero peppers, and Norwegian mackerel fish. I bought 8 pieces of fish and specifically requested that they be cut into 4 pieces each, as per the number 8 option on your butchery chart. However, when I began cooking, I discovered that I only had 25 pieces of fish instead of the expected 32. I'm concerned about this discrepancy and would appreciate it if the management could investigate this matter and provide a suitable resolution. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue while shopping at this store?
Update: I visited your store again on June 17, 2025, to purchase some ingredients, including Norwegian mackerel. Once more, I selected Option 8 at the butchery counter and bought 7 whole fish. Based on this option, I should have received 28 cut pieces (4 pieces per fish), but I only received 21.
I called customer service to report the issue, but unfortunately, the response was unhelpful. I then asked to speak with the butchery manager. While he did answer the call, he told me to call back in 20 minutes. I did not follow up, as the interaction felt dismissive and came across more like a delay tactic than a genuine attempt to resolve the issue.
This is now the second time I’ve experienced a shortfall in quantity with the same product and butchery service. I believe this deserves serious attention from management. I’m sharing this in hopes that something will be done—and to ask if other customers have had similar...
