The morning shift today for this location was so awesome! Now no shade but the facts are facts… this morning I went to the location I always go to Powder Springs and they were sooo busy. That’s fine…however, I went to go sit in the bar area and one of the servers was shaking their head… I didn’t even sit all the way down before I just left. It’s early in the morning and I want to feel welcomed where ever I’m spending my money at and Powder Springs is slick my spot and I always tip well but don’t get it twisted Austell location what’s up lol. Now to my experience with the Austell location! They were busy but they were on it and if I knew the names I would shout them out for real but anyways. The lead/manager was dope he was my server and he made sure I was good. You can tell he’s a good lead because of the team working so good together (it starts from the head..period) the two cooks worked together and was super nice had great communication, one waitress said hi and cleared my cream cups from the coffee I had, another waitress was gathering some cleannn cups (I add lol) and she asked me how I was doing…we just started having a great conversation. My point is ….greattttt environment! I don’t have to talk I can be quite and enjoy my food of course but it was the point of me wanting to not be on my phone. That beautiful sweet waitress with the clean cups and a customer beside me end up having a conversation about chocolate and talking about coffee. I loved it and to top it all off the food was really good, I had the classic grit bowl and yea come bring your family, friend, boo whatever and enjoy ….you never know you “might” have a great conversation and great food around someone you don’t know. This comment was so worth typing....
Read moreI came in to have some breakfast. There was maybe 8 - 10 other people already in their, some of which were already eating. I sat down and waited patiently for a waitress. After about 20 minutes someone came and took my order. I patiently waited another 45 minutes while taking care of some business on my phone. I happen to look up and all but 2 other people had eaten and were gone. I asked how long on my food? after another 10 minutes of waiting, I told the waitress to forget about it, and asked did she need me to pay for the drink. She stated yes. You would think after an hour they would have politely said no, instead I got some smart ass remarks from one of the workers. Politely went to the other waffle house 10 minutes away and was served in 15 minutes with roughly the same size staff and similar patrons. They don't have to ever worry about me coming back to those untrained, unprofessional ass people. Skip this one and find you another. Ironically I was in the other location sharing my experience and it happened to be a regular he says he drives by there to go to the one...
Read moreWe stopped in on a morning on otw to one of my kids' place he was going for his birthday. I've worked at waffle one in my life, so I'm not as critical as some ppl. My review reflects my job as being a server for about 13+ years. Because we stopped inn in the morning they were slightly busy. The wait wasn't that long. 5 10 mins maybe. We sat, server served us and we left. My review reflect from when we received our food ( which wasn't that long for a party of 6), our server never came back to see if we needed anything, and my meal had onions which I said no onions but ate them anyway. Wasn't a big deal. Upon being the bill was we only asked did we need anything else. From experience, you should check back with customers at least 2 mins upon delivering food to see if everything was fine abs if anything else was needed. But other than that everything else was fine. I didn't post the servers name because maybe it was just one of those days abs I didn't want to shorten their money. Being a server is isn't as easy as many ppl think. But I'll visit again if I was...
