JG Chicken & Seafood — Restaurant in Georgia

Horribly unprofessional!!! Called in an order at 9:30 for 2 piece catfish. Girl said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at 9:40 and the doors were locked. I knocked and gestured and mouthed to indicate that I’d called in an order. After stopping to do something near the register and taking his sweet time coming to the door (it’s cold outside). A young gentleman asks if he could help me. I said I had called in and order and wanted to pick it up. He goes, I’m sorry but we’re already closed. I question why my order was taken then and he just shrugs his shoulders. I proceed to call when I get back to my car just out of curiosity if I had possibly called the other location. I begin explaining that I had called and placed an order and now that I came to pick it up they were closed. Before I could even finish, the young girl hung up on me and did not answer when I called back. I called A-town wings down the street at 9:45. They close at 10, just like JG and I’m currently eating their delicious catfish. JG no more!!...

• UPDATE 05/13/23 Stopped here forcwhat I thought was gonna be GREAT food. To find out they have NEW Owners and it shows in quality and service. The only time the cashier was not on her phone was when we placed the order. The floors were sticky including the carpet. The food was not as good as it has been before. Very disappointed. *

Perfectly seasoned and cooked!!!! I ordered the #7 Tilapia and Shrimp combo (no drink comes with this, however you can order the same items from the Pick 2 for same price that comes with a drink). I remember coming here when it first opened and the food was honestly decent for the price. Decided to come back for some chicken and fish. Wish I saved my money. “Never frozen” is a complete lie. The chicken is the cheapest tenders you could buy from Sam’s club. The cat fish was middle of the road, not enough seasoning but was a good healthy piece. I will give the first a plus as they were crispy. Service was below average, definitely needed help as they were the only worker.
