Pegasus Games — Attraction in Madison

Terrible customer service, if you like being ignored, rushed, and made like you don't belong then this is the place for you.

Went into today for some card sleeves for a commander deck. The people behind the counter were helping some guy buy singles, they were being friendly with him the entire 15 minutes I was there. Never once said hi to myself or anyone who walked in except a woman who I suspected worked there.

When I came up to the register not even a "hello" or "did you get everything you needed?", it's like basic customer service was oblivious to these guys. Like I said, they were VERY friendly to the man who was hogging up the counter space naming off cards he wanted to buy, but when I came to the counter absolute crickets.

Didn't even ask if I wanted a bag or receipt at the end, the guy behind the counter just pointed his finger at me and said "you're set" like he was glad to get it over with. Not even "have a good day" or "hope you come back."

I will NEVER return to this place again. You get way better customer service from the other shops around this city. Avoid at all costs if you can and for the love of god treat your customers better Pegasus Games. If you're browsing the reviews on here you'll notice I"m not the only one who has...

Pegasus is my go to gaming store in Madison. Thursday night commander is excellent, the crowd is laid back and fun, and always a good time.

Since Patrick and Dennis took over, the store has only continued to improve. (It was amazing before then too) If you have any gaming needs they'll take care of you. They're also incredibly fair when it comes to trade in value. Their prices? Right were they should be. Some of the other gaming shops in the area are starting to seem elitist when it comes to things, where as Pegasus is keeping gaming accessible to everyone.

The staff is top notch. They as well are all super knowledgeable and extremely friendly. If one doesn't know the answer to a question, they always have resources to find out this answers. I haven't even included the best part about the staff. It's not that they also play games with the rest of us. It isn't thar they're always smiling. Its the fact they have an amazing cat Sherpa on staff!!!!

The one other thing that I want to mention, is that Pegasus is extremely LGBTQIA+ friendly. I can't begin to tell you how important this is. I feel safe here. I feel welcomed here. Without a doubt Pegasus is the best game...

-Quality- A good selection of products, lots and lots of different things. Well kept and easy to navigate and find what you're looking for.

-Appeal- There is a gaming area, named the "playground" right next door. There was a bit of lack of selection of specific products, but it's not a huge area, so limiting how much you carry of certain products is a necessity. Nonetheless, I was extremely satisfied with what they did have.

-Service- Absolutely outstanding. As I was browsing their products, my girlfriend casually noted an interesting looking game on the shelf, and the store owner immediately asked if we'd like to know more about it. She explained the basic gist of the game and then spent about 10 minutes discussing it with us. She was extremely helpful, and even helped me decide between some products I was stuck between.

-Overall- I will be going back soon, and I will certainly recommend it to all my friends. It's made it into my list of favorite...
