steep and brew West is a nice coffee shop.

The staff is very friendly and the service prompt. Product assortment is good… And the pastries are delicious. (Madison sourdough? )

I had a redeye (espresso shot with House, coffee)… Very tasty. And Keith had chai tea… He said it was good. I like the fact that patrons are allowed a cup that they can refill at their convenience from the large crafts that are kept full of four different coffee flavors.

The inside of the shop is small… But importantly, the small makes it feel cozy, more than crowded, and the space is warm and inviting. Many small tables… And even some very comfortable high back chairs that are upholstered, which invite people to sit and chat or read a book… Most excellent. They also have a heater that is a faux fire… Artificial, but still interestingly, comforting and lovely.

parking is easy as it is at the market Square shopping center.

prices are very reasonable… The only weird thing that I encountered was the fact that if a patron wants to add a tip to their bill, they actually need to tell the cashier server what the tip amount is before the bill is calculated. This is really weird, and I don’t like the fact that I think it limits or constrains how customers, give tips to the to the service staff. I hope their management realizes this is unfair to the staff… It is a complexity that is somewhat uncomfortable to...

I hate to ruin a good rating average by posting a one star. I'm really sorry. Tonight 11.24.18 the young lady working caused this. They closed at 7:00 tonight and we arrived around 6:10-6:15. I asked, do you do the drinks with the leafs designs in the cream? She said yes it's a cappuccino. I said cool I will have one of those. What size she says. Small I replied. She makes the drink and puts it on the counter and it had no design on it. Just foam. And it was in a To go cup instead of a regular coffee cup. I then asked if they had any pastries to which she said she had already put them all away. She was acting like we were really bothering her by being there. The rest of the group that was with me were starting to mumble and so I was just ready to pay and go. She said her Amex machine was broken (which I find hilarious since the 24th was small business Saturday promoted by Amex!). The group of six of us left because they saw my experience and said they would rather just go to Starbucks instead. We did. My cap tasted burnt so I tossed it and we enjoyed ourselves at the Starbucks around the corner. Sorry. This was just...

I got a an acceptable cup of coffee. I don't know that their definition of light roast matches up with mine (or maybe the beans were old), but those things are always subjective. The barista was nice enough. What they call pour over on their menu pour over is also a little misleading - it's an American style pour over where they're streaming hot water onto a filter full of grounds. It's not the slower Japanese style of pour over where you get much better flavor. They also had two customers inside without masks, despite prominently displayed signs requiring masks, which is a little off-putting. Had I noticed that before ordering I'd have left. I know that's a pain for staff to manage but managing it beats getting shut down again because the Pandemic is...

This shopping center doesn't exactly have the best ambience, but for being tucked in here, Steep N Brew West does a good job being cozy. Manager was friendly ... person who cashed me out a little less so, but the manager jumped in to make sure the drink was being made right. He was very attentive. A little pricy but worth it - my drink was huge, delicious and in a beautiful mug! Wish they'd add some comfort furniture like couches or plushy chairs for those of us camping out to work - but lots of nice natural light, coffee tastes good, and wi-fi works fine (but be aware it is an open/unsecured network).

I got the Indian Sunset tea and oatmeal cookies, and my husband had the smoothie with granola. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere and service were excellent. I was surprised by how tasty the Indian Sunset tea was. Since I can’t drink coffee because it’s too bitter for me, I really appreciate their high-quality tea. I’ve tried chai teas at other cafés, but they were usually store-bought and too sweet. I’m so glad I found a delicious spiced tea where I can adjust the sweetness myself. I’ll definitely be back!
