Kebabe Cuisine Madison — Restaurant in Madison

I stopped in for a quick lunch take away as I had read about this new place and was very excited to try them .

There was immediate parking available in the free parking lot and no wait time as I showed up right around lunch.

Inside store is nice fresh and clean . Gentleman helping me was very friendly and helped me as they were out of the main items I was interested in .

In particular I was eager to try two unique and special items on their menu which are not easily found outside of middle eastern regions : pide and lachmachun .

Unfortunately both were not available when I was there and I inquired when they would have the dough for these bakery items , and was advised weekends.

I went for the chicken shawarma to go with a side of fries . Take out only took about 10 minutes. Chicken was tender and very flavorful . Nicely prepared. I was not a fan (at all ) of the vegetable carrot (!) that is added almost as a filler on the inside of the pita sandwich. I would personally ask them next time to skip this. It is not the norm in a shawarma.

Certainly I will be back to try the bakery items I so...

I’ve been here twice. I have celiac so need to be very careful. They weren’t really familiar with gluten intolerance nor celiac, but they were extremely nice and helpful. They took extra time to check ingredients and listen to my concerns and how to avoid cross contamination. The atmosphere is really nice. They play calming music. The dish wear/display are really unique. The food is extremely fresh and well prepared. The restaurant is also super clean, and they have comfortable decor. I was really excited to find this place. I am hopeful the food continues to be ok for me to eat being celiac....

Stopped here for some carryout the 2nd day they were open (or first, not entirely sure) and the service was prompt and it looked like a lot of the family were there, so a nice atmosphere. Very clean place, prompt service. The food was excellent. We ordered the lamb kebab, chicken kebab, kefte, and a gyros, with salad and sides. Just great food. Definitely will...
