The Ballard Convention Center — Attraction in Madisonville

We attended the 2018 Hopkins County Fair in Madisonville,ky had several different vendors selling food n drinks n candy etc anything you wanted to eat you could find it their, it costed $5 for parking n $10 per person which gave u access to ride all rides, had all kinds of different events going on all week like the beauty pageant to atv n dirt bike races to truck n tractor pull etc, all kinds of games to play to win prizes n of course all kinds of carnival rides for all ages there was something for everyone to do n enjoy n a good time. We attended the fair twice that week had a pretty good time n lots of fun with our family. It's family orninated n clean n great thing event that goes on all week long n great event for everyone to go n attend with ur family especially anyone that's has kids n looking for something to do w ur kids especially if u haven't gotten or simply can't afford to take a vacation then this would be something to consider n great to attend w ur kids at the end of summer and before school...

This time the Ballard was the site of the Hopkins County Fair. The fair was good fun. There were activities, rides and attractions for everyone.

The Midway, of course, was full of crazy carnival games, including a guy who couldn't guess my age or weight. So I walked away with 2 different stuffed dogs.

There were numerous food vendors, both local (like Catering and Creations, and the Knights of Columbus) and "carnie". The food ranged in price from reasonable to ridiculous, but all-in-all, it was very good.

They had different shows and attractions every night: pageants, livestock exhibitions, truck and tractor pulls, concerts, demolition derby, motocross and my favorite, The Fearless Flores'...

I attended the Hopkins County Fair for the first time in years. I was impressed with how organized the entire event was from the ticket booth to all the vendors....and even the parking attendants. The $12 admission fee even covered the rodeo tonight. It was a bargain. The people all seemed to have a good time and were friendly. And the waiting in line for rides was not very long. I will probably attend...
