The Patron Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Madisonville

So.. this is my third time attempting to eat here. First, the food is actually really good! However, the customer service level is a ZERO for me! They are NEVER nice or friendly in any way shape or form! I always feel like I’m bothering them when trying to pick up my to go order, or actually eating in the restaurant. With my “to go “ orders both times, I never got any silverware, no napkins, and did not get my drink that comes with the lunch I ordered. When I walked in today…. The look on the guys face should have been enough for me to turn around and walk out. He did not want to wait on me, and did not hide that!! And they were NOT busy. I can understand frustration when it’s busy, but there was nobody in there. There are too many other places that I can spend my money and eat delicious food, and that’s what I will do. This was the first time we'd eaten here. We immediately noticed the modern decor and nice building upon entering. I loved the chairs and the bar looked amazing!! The young girl promptly took our order and brought our food & drinks. The food was so good, even the chips & salsa! I ordered the quesadilla tropical. The only complaint was we had to let her know we needed refills. Everything else was subpar!!! 👏 😋

Update Feb. 26, 2025: we eat here today, our second time. There were 3 of us, the same young girl waited on us. She brought us the menu and when she asked if we were ready to order she seemed annoyed, went to the bar and was lying on it. While the food tasted great again, she seemed like she doesn't enjoy her job and she did give refills almost hesitantly. THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD!!!

We went as a group because none of us had been to this restaurant before and we were curious.

The entire group was very satisfied. Everyone ordered items that we hadn't seen at the other Mexican Restaurants in town and we were NOT disappointed. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, the steaks were tender, the chicken was juicy, the vegetables were fresh, and the refried beans were homemade. The salsa and white dip that they give you is fresh and clean tasting.

If you like any other Mexican Restaurant, I promise you, this one is worth the visit. The servers were very nice. The manager/owner cares and is very hospitable. This is the place to compare the rest too.
