I see my experience is not unique. Horrible experience so far. There was ONE PERSON a chiropractor who was quite good, Dr. Julia. She was experienced, knowledgable and attentive. All downhill and terrible from there. After a great first appointment I was scheduled for an MRI but at the MRI the technicians weren't sure if we were looking at the right thing for the source of my pain and they couldn't contact a doctor to make the call or get a change there. So I was left with a choice. Lose the 3 hours i cleared for the appointment or risk a wrong picture. (still waiting on those results). Next I scheduled a telephone appointment to get results. They did not call. When I called them, they said you need to give us up to an hour because doctors might be delayed. And they said there are 6 patients in front of you (I called 20 minutes after my appointment). I did not get a call so i called after an hour and 20 minutes. They said "We didn't have you for a telephone appointment." Then quickly changed course and said, "oh we have a "Did Not Answer" on your profile. FALSE. Then they told me everyone was gone for a day and after prying and prying. They scheduled me for 1030am the next day. EXACT same thing happened. So now I've wasted my time and lost money at least TWICE because of scheduling around this irresponsible office. Lets move on to my second chiropractor appointment... They passed me to a very inexperienced kid who did not know how to adjust and rubbed my neck for a few minutes. We scheduled a 30 minute appointment. He was 10 minutes late. And tried to end my care after 20 minutes and didnt even perform the treatment the last doctor recommended. I won't let him touch me again for a few years until hes got experience. PLUS they have a schedule that puts me in for treatment ONCE every two weeks? How can that help in anyway. OK just sit there in pain for 13 more days. We'll get you rubbed for another 20 minutes then. The lack of care and responsibility is awful here. I deserve to have all of my money back from the treatments and appointments they missed, plus they should pay me what I would earn during the hours I moved and no one showed up. HERE'S THE BEST PART. THEY WAG THIS 50 DOLLAR LATE/NO SHOW FEE IN YOUR FACE ON ALL OF THEIR PAPERWORK. WHAT A JOKE! GO...
Read moreThe doc seems pretty good. The back office staff is absolutely the worst I have ever experienced in a medical office. They wouldn't call back when multiple messages were left. They didn't give me correct information about my approvals for MRI. My insurance company told me they didn't send paperwork for approval for almost 3 weeks during which time the office staff told me they were waiting for my insurance company. I initially got denied the approval because the staff didn't respond to a request from my insurance company for more information. I had to physically go back to the office and stand in front of them asking what was going on. It took 10 weeks from initial visit to get my MRI and then I find out they only got one of the 2 approvals and had to come back later after the submitted more info to my insurance company that wasn't sent as requested. Finally I got a bill much later from a 3rd party for $8.00 for radiology services from a firm I had never heard of. The billing department at Beach Cities was somewhat rude when I asked them about it as the bill from the 3rd party didn't indicate anything about who this firm was or what the bill was for. I asked them to get their vendor to indicate the services on the bill so it doesn't look like a scam - she told me that the company was listed on the initial papers so I should have known. Seriously? I filled out a bunch of paperwork 3 months ago, and I am supposed to have remembered the name of a company that might bill me separately? Final straw was getting a copy of my imaging... too long a story, but just know that they are not big into customer service and I am not that hard to please. I will never go there again. I suggest that you...
Read moreThe very best place with the very best people. From the start, Dr Bradley Thomas was very open, very friendly and very honest. Nevertheless, it took me a few months to decide to have knee surgery. I chose Dr Thomas as he answered all my questions and also because he is knowledgeable in stem cells. I met Dr Thomas 3 times in the course of 6 months. He was always patient, courteous and knowledgeable. The pre-op was smooth - Rachel, Dr Thomas's assistant is very friendly and very organized. The clinical center had opened 2 weeks before and is very cheerful, and hyper clean. I was very impressed by the care and friendliness of the nurses, and the warmth of the anesthesiologist. Surgery was fast and Dr Thomas was the first person I saw when I woke up! He asked me how was my pain level (moderate). That was 1 month ago. I had the stem cells injection, totally painless, a week later (Dr Thomas is very concerned with your level of pain). I am now doing physical therapy twice a week, at BCO. It is super convenient to have everything under one roof, especially as all are all held to the same standards of friendliness and quality of service. So, I went from being very nervous to becoming a huge fan of Dr Thomas! He is an excellent surgeon and also a wonderful human being. Therapy is going very well, thanks to Dr Marco Lopez, Michael and Kalin. I am waiting a while then I will do the second knee at BCO with Dr Thomas, without any worries as I know I will be in...
