While reading this review, please know that I HATE giving a bad review. Most of the time people feel entitiled and someone didn't smile at them so they are going to bash a good business. I want you to read this so you can hopefully learn from my experience and not make a disasterous mistake with your hair.
When I made my appointment I was so excited to come to this salon. It looks amazing and is close to where I live. I recently moved to the area and hadn't had my hair cut and colored in a long time because it is so hard to find a hairstylist who gets you and knows exactly what to do to make you feel great! I got an appointment with Taylor. Super sweet girl, don't get me wrong. I went in with really long (about down to the middle of my back) dark brown hair. I asked for the split ends cut off and I wanted all over highlights. I even showed a picture of what my hair used to look like with highlights. Have several pictures of the color and style. Taylor told me she could do it no problem, then asked about if I keep it up alot or not. I said not that often so she suggested a baliaj(not sure of I spelled that correctly). She said she could manage the same look but it just wouldn't be as noticable at the roots when my hair grows. I agreed this would be good.
This is where the day turned for me you guys. Taylor does the color and I'm here for about an hour and a half at this point. She goes to wash it out and takes me back to the chair. My hair does not look highlighted. She said something about the color taking at the top but not at the bottom...I looked like a cheetah. I can't even make this up. So she goes to talk to someone for advise. The other stylist cones over and gives her some suggestions and asked me what I thought. They wanted to re-highlight with a stronger bleach and all I'm thinking is you are about to burn my hair! I said no to that and so we decided to do a root drop to fix the patchiness I guess. Here we go again...the color was bad! I looked like I belong in the band, in the BRASS section! The color was awful but I have been there about 4 hours at this point and I just want my hair cut and I'll figure it out later. So then, Taylor cuts my hair...I'm telling you guys, this was BAD...so BAD...it looked like she took a bowl and just cut my hair all the way around. The ends were so blunt and awful, I wanted to cry. Taylor then goes to get someone else (Chelsea) to check her work...wait, what do you mean check your work? Like how new are you and why are you COLORING my hair if you need someone to check your cut?! Guys, this girl (Chelsea) came to fix my hair cut...gave me layers, which I asked for the fixed whatever the hell was just done. I mean to tell you I feel like I looked like my hair was put in a salad chopper...it was so choppy and heavy. You could see the line of layers...like not blended and NOT cute. I was so unhappy when I was getting ready to leave I could have cried. I was there for 5 hours and everyone was telling me that the color looked good...I wanted to ask if they wanted me to give it to them then...so I go to check out thinking I wouldn't get charged or at least just get charged for the cut or something...nope, they charged me $150 dollars to basically destory my hair. Then gave me an appointment to come in for some toner if I didn't like the color and they wouldn't charge me.
Come to find out this girl Taylor has been on the floor for 3 months! My question is, why that information would not be made aware to the client upfront?! I understand people need to learn, but they shouldn't be left to just destory people's hair. Give them a mentor and easier simplier clients!
Needless to say, I didn't go back and I won't EVER go back. I went to Luxe Salon where a great stylist Tracy saved my hair guys!
Please be careful with your hair! I'm so unhappy with how my hair turned out, I cried for days. I'm not impressed with management either. I don't need to be fawned over, I'm not that girl at all, but I should NOT have...
Read moreI have been to inu 4-5 times times in the past 3 years for balayages to lighten my brown hair & I was always happy until my 5/6/25 appointment I am left shaken confused & my hair is completely ruined & the manager Tiffany was HORRIBLE talking to me on the phone about it. My hair is completely ruined after my may 6th appointment & then they tried fixing it on may 7th and left it even more dried & dead & absolutely the opposite of what I wanted & what was discussed & what was expected I am literally so disgusted at not only what just happened to my hair but how Tiffany talked to me & how she literally tried making the conversation tense & weird & she was talking to me like she wanted me to get upset with her, her responses were so rude & angry & defensive over the stylists who tried their best but 100% messed up so bad my hair is completely ruined & fried & brown & ugly. Literally from the start when I was telling her what happened she was immediately trying to blame me for not communicating things right which just makes me sick to my stomach because everything was 100% communicated perfectly but the execution was horribly messed up twice & she really was making the conversation so tense & weird while explaining what happened while I was crying trying to pack for the trip that I was supposed to get my hair done for. I asked to tone my roots a dark to get rid of my grey hair in the brown roots & then use a violet or purple toner to tone the yellow out of my blonde since she didnât have time for bleach⌠when she was shampooing me she said â I actually have time for a wet bleach if youâd like I can get your blonde even blonderâ, I said wow thank you so much! I literally left with BROWN HAIR I said thank you tipped her $50 after she charged me $180 & left went home & cried looking at my hair⌠I entered blonde & she said she would make my blonde pop and do a wet bleach to make it lighter and I left with brown hair. I also had brown hair dye all over my forehead & ears after I got back home & Iâve never ever had product still on my skin after leaving this salon⌠I called back explaining there was a mistake & was happy when they said theyâd get me back in the next day to fix it. But the damage had already been done, the new stylist did her best to lighten it but the previous stylist had made it so dark it couldnât be lightened to the level I was when first walking in on Tuesday ⌠ALSO I said I did NOT want to lift my roots & I did NOT want any money pieces or any blonde around my face, I said I LOVE MY DARK ROOTS ESPECIALLY AROUND MY FACE ⌠tell me why she did these horrible warm chunky highlights only on my bangs and around my face.. it looks horrible ⌠I am shaking about what happened & how Tiffany handled & dictated our conversation yesterday I should have recorded it, she rebutted right away telling me I didnât communicate right after she told me that the first girl messed up by using semi permanent dye instead of toner on my roots & then wet bleaching the rest of my hair she said that was her mistake but she was being so rude & weird to me saying I some how didnât communicate right & she was talking to me in that tone because she is âdefensiveâ over her stylist because they are âdistraughtâ that Iâm unhappy⌠wtf ⌠I am distraught⌠Iâm shaking because I came in with a blonde balayage and perfectly blended and grown out roots and asked to tone the yellow out and I left with completely brown hair⌠then when I tried to get it fixed my hair is still way darker than when I walked in & I have these chunky money pieces that I did NOT WANT. I said I loved my dark roots & I loved my dark roots framing my face & she put chunky bleach all around my face & it looks awful. I have been there 4-5 times and never had a bad experience until now and the way itâs been handled...
Read moreThis is the first time I have ever posted a bad review, but in this case I must. I had an appt for root touch up and highlights. This is my 3rd time there using Don. Visit #1: Hair came out great (nice bright blonde highlights like I wanted). Visit #2: Went in for root/color/small highlight touch up On first visit he told me how to schedule this appt and what the charge would roughly be - I was charged almost triple what he told me) AND during my appt time I think he at least quadrupled booked clients. By the time he dried my hair I wasnât loving it at all like visit #1 (it looked a bit red/orange hue but I didnât say anything- my fault for not speaking up). Visit #3 Appointment for color retouch and foil highlights - what a mistake taking a chance a 3rd time. Don slammed his schedule with so many clients I felt like I was simply ignored and was left alone so long while processing and toning. Iâve been getting my hair done for 25 years, have never experienced something like that. When he dried my hair I could hardly tell I had highlights, color was dark and no where close, to the specific bright highlights I asked for. I was so unhappy with the results, he said he would reverse the toner effects (whatever that means as Iâm not a hair stylist). Well, what we he did then left my hair looking red/orange. I mentioned it to him while he was drying my hair and he says âit looks fineâ. I go home and my family thought I went red. Called the salon back as I wanted this corrected yet again. I went back and he added more highlights. Those gave me some blonde but the other areas remained a reddish hue. After $260 I expect much better than this. Plus I find out later he was talking trash about me with another client. Unacceptable but no surpriseI as I have heard him gossip every time I have been there. He completely messed up my color and has the audacity to talk negatively about me. I would never go back to him or...
