I have been a member at this gym since 2020. I preferred the Golds atmosphere. However, when youāre forced to change, you must try to adapt. Crunch quickly rebranded and announced upcoming renovations. Initially, I thought the renovations were going to be a great change, as the locker rooms have mold on the walls, water marks on the ceiling tiles, a general foul odorā¦. As well as a lot of gym equipment that could use some upkeep or replacing. Soon after renovations began, I realized this specific Crunch Fitness franchise does not care about necessary changes. Rather than fix problems that are detrimental to the publicās health, their first step was to remove the womenās fitness room, a place where women could feel safe and not get cat called, criticized, or oogled.
In the first quarter of 2024 through the beginning of 2025, the womenās locker room kept getting increasingly worse and worse smelling. I notified management several times as it had a significant impact on my breathing. Finally, it was relayed to me that the septic need to a part fixed. After months and months of a terrible smell that I can only compare to saying it smelled like someone worked out in the same clothes for an entire week, then tried to flush them down the toilets, and subsequently then put them in the air vents.
Regardless after SEVERAL months/bordering on a year of this terrible smell, it was somewhat addressed.
Itās unclear if Annie was assigned her position due to her bubbly nature or if sheās actually qualified in marketing. However, Annie came in and changed the whole class schedule for the WORSE. Regular class attendees were not consulted on any of the changes prior to implementation.
I would say reach out to the general manger Kelley with any concerns. However, she might be the worst of the loot. She refuses to address concerns. Instead, she gaslights you into thinking itās someone elseās problem. I donāt really understand who reports to her since she continually passes any problems off to the next person.
A gym goer formerly posted a very blunt and honest 1 star review. I find it interesting that they have since deleted their review and posted a new one with 5 stars and a āraveā review.
The gym has been known to stack their reviews to make things seem not as bad as they really are. It would appear, despite management change, theyāre back to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen I joined this gym, they didnāt clearly explain everything about the membership. For example, they have an activity room and other group sessions that take up most of the space, leaving no dedicated area for simple stretching or free workouts. The personal training room is understandably reserved, but when I asked a trainerāwho seemed more interested in chatting and gossiping than actually trainingāif I could stretch there, she said yes. However, she then sent her client to report me to the front desk, which was unnecessary and unprofessional. May be because of some psychological issues The manager came over and told me the room was for personal training only. I explained that I had asked for permission first and was told it was fine. I also pointed out that there was no other space available due to ongoing group activities. Instead of offering a solution, she just kept repeating that she'd ālet it go this timeā and suggested I adjust my workout according to their scheduleāsomething that was never shared with me when I joined. I wasnāt disturbing anyone, and I made sure to ask before entering the space. Unfortunately, the staff here are neither helpful nor supportive. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Iāve canceled my membership today and will be sharing my experience elsewhere as well. I joined gym without checking reviews on internet and I came to face this situation, hope this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreoverall not a terrible gym for the affordability. Actual equipment is decent, not terribly high end but most of it works. Biggest issues iāve seen with equipment are the wires for the weight pegs being snapped but no big deal. My main issue equipment wise is the bench situation, itās impossible to get one most the time. They have some perma upright seated ones and flat ones, honestly theyāre mostly empty as everyoneās waiting for the adjustable ones. Iād say get rid of the others and get all adjustable ones. There are only two other big issues iāve seen, one being the womenās locker room and two being the wifi. The wifi frankly sucks and is constantly bugging and dropping, which is unfortunate as i barely get LTE in the gym. The womenās locker room is the biggest downside, although i donāt smell anything bad as others have said, there are other issues. One being the amount of broken lockers, they just donāt shut properly anymore. The second is the cleanliness or lack thereof, it constantly feels a little bit gross. The toilets are also constantly dirty, filled with toilet paper, or without toilet paper at all. Overall not a bad choice, solid gym and meets all the needs, just falls short in...
