Staples — Attraction in Mansfield Township

Store is listed as a USPS drop off point. Dropped off a prepaid label for a Mercari order. The store accepted the package and gave me a drop off receipt. The package was never given to USPS.

I called USPS - was told to follow up with the drop off location.

I called the store directly - manager was too busy to come to the phone.

I called corporate - corporate tells me to follow up with the store and USPS because it was a prepaid label they can’t do anything for me.

I called the store and spoke to the manager - they can’t check cameras and see what happened to the package. Loss prevention from corporate spoke to them ahead of my call. I was told they “put it in the bin and it gets wheeled out to the USPS vehicle by the USPS driver.” They had a different driver than usual. They said to call USPS.

USPS - they see no tracking and I’m told to follow up with the drop off location.

So almost 2 weeks later the moral of the story is that the drop off receipt from Staples isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on and no one at Staples gives a damn about your packages.

Save yourself the hassle and your items by avoiding this location - make sure to warn your friends not to drop off prepaid labeled packages at this location or risk losing them. Mercari can’t do anything with a drop off receipt...

can be hit or miss. I have been here a lot and it is becoming more a miss than it is worth. They would not honor a valid coupon and it takes forever to check out especially when the cashiers and manager have a hard time removing the security devices for their ink. It is becoming a waste of time and will be ordering more items online as I normally price match anyhow.

Edit 6/7/16 I chose to go in and try and resolve the issues I had with the service and have worked out some of them. Trying to resolve an issue over the phone when the physical product is not on hand can be difficult. The manager was understanding and helped solve the issue. Its a 4 star because of the willingness of the manager to go the extra mile when I was in store but would rather have had the service the first time.

Make sure you look at what is rung up and pricing especially with the coupons that they send out as they seem to always have...

George was very helpful when I explained that I was not allowed to pick up anything over 5 lbs and he gladly weighed the paperwork to be shredded ... the young lady that was also working in the same department I couldn't see her because her is very long she gladly helped me set a Staples rewards card if only young people were as pleasant as these 2 young workers ... I also noticed that you can deal with Amazon at the store and if you need to get rid off clothes or other clothing donations they have several donation bins at the end of the parking lots as you can see by the pictures included only things that can fit in the slot is the only things you can donate, I strongly suggest that you DO NOT ANY ITEMS OUTSIDE OF THE BIN ... YOU WILL PROBABLY RECEIVE A CITATION ... I see that they are a UPS hub here and they have trucks and bobcats here not sure if you can rent them as I didn't ask about...
