I recently had the absolute pleasure of stumbling upon this delightful thrift store, a veritable haven for the discerning thrifter such as myself. It was as if I had discovered a treasure trove hidden in the heart of the town, a gem among the mundane.
Firstly, let me commend the establishment on its pants section, a sartorial sanctuary for those of us who appreciate both style and practicality. Imagine my sheer delight when I found pants in my size, and brace yourself for the revelation – they had not one, not two, but an entire plethora of pockets! Pockets galore! A pocket enthusiast's dream come true. I could practically hear my belongings rejoicing at the prospect of finding new homes in these spacious and strategically placed pockets.
And lo and behold, the ceramics section – a symphony of organization that would make even the most meticulous curator nod in approval. Each piece stood proudly, as if vying for my attention. The variety and arrangement were simply unparalleled. It was as if the ceramics were whispering tales of their past lives, enticing me to take them home and make them a part of my own story.
However, and here comes the slight twist of sarcasm, my dear friends, brace yourselves for a dramatic pause – the absence of furniture! A thrift store without a splendid array of second-hand furniture, oh, the tragedy! One can't help but feel a twinge of sorrow at the missed opportunity for a complete thrifting experience. Alas, I suppose one can't have it all.
In conclusion, this thrift store is a haven for pocket enthusiasts and ceramics connoisseurs alike. The pants selection is nothing short of revolutionary, and the ceramics are a testament to the art of curation. But, oh, the heartache of an incomplete quest for second-hand furniture – a bittersweet symphony in the grand opera of thrifting. Well done,...
Read moreLOVE LOVE LOVE this store. I am a Goodwill addict and go to several stores throughout DFW regularly. This is one of my favorites. I have been shopping here since right after the Fashion Bug closed down. It is a smaller store but the employees work hard to keep it clean, organized and functional use of space. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that their community service workers, and even one or two of the employees, don't care about integrity in their work. I've witnessed, more than once, they take a whole handful of clothes and shove them on a rack somewhere randomly i.e. baby clothes in the women's sweaters, 20 small shirts placed in the coat section at once, etc. And, coming here every week, and they're still there out of order. Not sure someone goes through the racks and culls/places items correctly; thus quite a few deals go unseen bc they are not where they are supposed to be and no one knows they exist. This store doesn't turn over items very quickly so there is plenty of time to comb through everything and really find good deals. Alot of clothes here with tags still on them! The managers and employees are always kind, courteous and helpful. I really enjoy...
Read moreNormally I would rate this store much higher, and I may have just caught it on a really "off" day today because I've enjoyed their usual huge selection of women's dresses and plethora of shoes to leisurely browse through, having ALWAYS discovered a great deal or two for years now... But today just wasn't that great...or even good. It's July in Texas so to find next to nothing on their racks that wasn't long sleeved or actual winter apparel, well... I kept looking round thinking that I was somehow missing the good stuff this store is normally chock full of for whatever reason or season I'm there shopping for... Not today though .. not even one single pair of mildly interesting shoes on the floor to be a parting prize for the effort of arriving and waxing through all the winter clothes.. Stay tuned... I will be back and hopefully I will be able to upgrade those...
