On March 10,2025, My Daughter got married @ the Court House in Mansfield Texas, Our Family decided that Texas Roadhouse would be the restaurant that we would partake, However Our Family never got a chance to eat. On March 10, 2025, @ 2:54pm. 12 adults and two twin boys two years old, which is my grandson’s the sons of the bride and groom, Waited to get seated, Upon arrival I stated to the waiter that 12 adults & two high chairs would be needed. The waiter tells me that the restaurant only serves up to 13 people. I then state that the Children would eat from the adults meals that the children wouldn’t be ordering any thing. The waiter then asked me to wait a second that she would speak with her manager. Karen, the waiter then proceeds to tell me that the weight would be about 10-15 minute wait. The waiter & the manager Ms. Karen explained to me & the family that we would have to be seated separately, five to a table. My family agreed to sit however the restaurant could accommodate us. 15 minutes passed, 25, 30, 45, minutes passed! I LaTanya went & ask to speak with the manager again Ms. Karen, I asked if the staff was trying to allow the restaurant to fill up, before my party and I got a table so that we could eat! My family & I arrived at the restaurant before it opened. @ 2:54pm, Texas Roadhouse opens @ 3:00pm. As I stated in the beginning of this review. When Ms. Karen did send a waitress to the first 5, which was my The Newlyweds, My Son-in-law, My Daughter, her Father, My oldest Daughter, My Oldest Granddaughter, was escorted to the back of the restaurant, when all of a sudden My Son-in-law came walking fast stating that We needed to leave the restaurant now, he didn’t want nobody to put anything in his food. I asked him what took place he stated that when the waiter took the first 5 people to be seated that a high chair was @ the table that the Child was being placed in the high chair then the waiter stated oh ah this table is for someone else, then proceeded to walk the first 5 people across the restaurant. I asked to speak with the manager again for the 4th time Ms. Karen, I explained again that My Daughter had just married down the street by the Court here in Mansfield TX. That We reside in BenBrook TX. That We’ve never seen anything like this before! I then asked Ms. Karen if she would ask an employee to go & retrieve the Nothing Bunk cake that was brought for us to celebrate after Our meal. The cake was brought back to us. I then ask for the corporate office #, Ms. Karen went and looked on the side of the register and stated that she would go to the office and write the # & bring back to me. Upon Karen walking back to the office she stated that she was sorry 😢 I then stated that the restaurant almost ruined what was My Daughter’s best days of her life her wedding day. All because the staff didn’t want to wait on My Family and I. My oldest Daughter stated Mom we should leave we don’t have to beg people to take our money. My Honey ask me to come on let’s go. My Daughter then stated Mom you thought Us how to look up #’s for what ever is needed. The Newlyweds went home without eating😭 I did call to fail a complaint. I surly pray that no other Family have to experience this act of unwanted & unkindness that My Family & I experienced!!!! This is not expected able‼️ I will never try to...
Read moreI have been a regular at this location in Mansfield for over 15 years. I have ordered the same steak every time that I've went in there out of the glass container that sits right by the front door. The most expensive steaks they offer!!! I asked for a particular type of steak which is called a Pittsburgh which everybody in the whole restaurant servers, cooks ,and everyone know exactly what I'm talking about. Three times in a row now I have went there and and specifically asked like I have before every single time that I've been there for a medium steak. And all three times they have came back ultra ultra medium rare!!! Even my wife's steak that was supposed to be medium came back medium rare. I asked for a manager. When the manager came to my table she was very abrasive. She acted like me having a problem with my steak being not cooked right bothered her. I'm a very calm and chill person. She asked me if I would like her to throw it back on the grill so I handed it to her. Obviously I'm upset because my wife and my son are both eating their food and I knew I was going to have to wait. Well she left and no one ever came back to bring me my food. She assumed that I didn't want anything to eat and never asked me if I did or otherwise. I talked to another manager. Her name was Julie she was very nice and helpful! She herself couldn't even believe that the lady just walked away never offered me another option and never brought me my steak back that she went to put back on the grill! The first manager also told me that most people there don't even know what a Pittsburgh is. My waiter that had been only working there for a few months told me that he actually knew what a Pittsburgh was that they were trained on people asking for that steak. Julie took over the situation and went and put me a new steak on the grill brought me some food to go and told me that I was going to get a voucher for a dinner FOR TWO After over an hour of waiting she brings me my food to go with a $30 gift certificate. Mind you the steaks that I get every time are over $30 by themselves. My 15-year-old son's meal was over $15 by itself for chicken critters. I have religiously spent at least $100 every couple months at this establishment for over 15 years. Now I will take my business to LongHorn steakhouse. It's an ultimate smack in the face to be told that you're going to get a dinner for two for free on them because of the problems and then they come and bring me a $30 gift certificate. CASEY is a waiter at this establishment and is a awesome person so if you go to this restaurant make sure to ask for him! Sayonara Texas...
Read moreI have never been a huge Texas Roadhouse fan, but I was in town to visit family, and someone suggested we meet there. A family member had recently been in the hospital and this was their first outing to a restaurant, and Texas Roadhouse was one of the most convenient options.
We checked in online using the app, and then checked in with the host at the door (on an ipad) upon arrival. 15min went by and we noticed others that came in after us were being seated. We checked in with the host stand only to find out we weren't even on the waiting list although we had checked in online and with the host (on an iPad). So, we waited an additional 10-15min to be seated. And the only standing room was cramped with the other 40 people waiting to be seated and in the way of the kitchen staff, waiters, and hosts. It was an uncomfortable way to wait.
This place is a popular destination. It was absolutely packed when we arrived. The atmosphere was relatively lively, but it felt cramped in that there were so many people.
Our server was bubbly and gracious. It's not entirely their fault, but we had an appetizer coupon and we did feel slightly rushed to make a decision. This lead us to order something without realizing what it was based, on the servers recommendation.
The food itself was hit or miss. The chicken we ordered was extremely salty, and I know they're known for their steak, but we weren't feeling steak this night and there were plenty of chicken options on the menu. The baked potatoes were solid, but the French fries were incredible soggy. Now, the house salad was actually impressive for a house salad, having cherry tomatoes and egg in addition to the usual ingredients. And the rolls with cinnamon butter are always delicious.
While there were some disappointments in terms of our experience, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Even a bus boy noticed a family member with a walker and said we could park our walker off to the side to get it out of our way. Also, a manager came by our table to check in with us early on which was nice.
When it came time for the check we noticed that they hadn't used the coupon we had provided them, but they worked to correct this.
Some tips: They are known for steak, so, I would go with a steak option. Also, the cinnamon butter rolls are delicious, and you can order multiple baskets. You can even ask for a togo order. If you do choose an appetizer, you might want one go with the Bloomin'...
