This review describes the Maplewood Aldi. This is a great location. They usually have everything that one needs and this place is fairly well-kept. This is a fairly popular location; especially with Walmart and a ton of other stores being around the corner AND the Metrolink being in the area. Plus, Manchester is a fairly busy street. Thus, due to the above factors, it's why a lot of people shop here. And this place can be crowded sometimes. The recent self-check machines AND the human checkout clerks makes the shopping process go fast. So, these things are some plusses to make up for the crowds comes.
I usually have great experience shopping here. The only thing I DON'T like about this place is when you are in the parking lot whether you're trying to go inside of the store OR when you walk outside of this store, there are might be pan handlers outside of the store begging for money. And they be right in front of the door too!! This is DESPITE there being a sign on the entrance door that says that pan handling is not allowed on the property. So, such might be illegal but people do it anyway; as there is usually nobody around to enforce the "no-pan handling" clause. And this can be an intimidating experience or could make you uncomfortable when you don't know the person who is asking for money and you don't know their intentions, etc. It could also be annoying for some when pan handling is supposed to be prohibited on the property. So, be ready for POSSIBLE pan-handlers when you shop here. Be ready to say "no" OR take an extra dollar or 2 for them. This doesn't happen every time and you may or may not encounter such. Also, I have shopped at this store for years and haven't encountered any safety issues yet But, it happens OFTEN ENOUGH! Such might be a symptom of the nearby Walmart and Metrolink station which together brings these types of demographics. Such is affecting a lot of businesses as of recent; not just Aldi.
Minus the pan-handlers, this store is MOSTLY fine! But, if you want less of the pan-handling experience, then go to the Aldi in Rock Hill which is very close by and is ALSO on Manchester; maybe a 2 to 3 miles up the street. Just go west! I gave that...

I was talking to him now. Im feeling like my ancestors because how nothing happened to the white lady for making a false accusation and threatening me with a gun and lied to the police and she is let go and now im going to the Maplewood police department and make my formal complaint but aldi overall food looked much fresher than in my own neighbor hood thats why...
Read moreJust a bad customer service experience. This has been happening more often. Today I tried to buy a bottle of wine, he scanned it and said âsorry it didnât scanâ and set aside. I said wait canât someone look it up and he said âno sorryâ. I told him that didnât make any sense and he said the same thing happened yesterday.
So, why was it left stocked on the shelf? Weâre not talking about a rogue bottle, the bay was stocked. He was so flippant and indifferent, so I asked for a manager. I know it wasnât a big deal, but I guess I just wanted someone to attempt to find a price. I check out all the Aldi Cabs and I had never seen this one before.
The manager is nicer and tries to look it up, comes back and said they must have sent it to the store by mistake and it was accidentally stocked. But, again, if this came up yesterday, why was it still on the shelf?
Grand scheme of things, I know, first world problems. Itâs just, I go to Aldi for my â I love Aldi experienceâ and this was disappointing. Particularly with the original employee checking...
