If you can avoid going here, I definitely would. I ordered an "In-Stock" battery that wasn't. I was called an hour or so after my order was placed and was told by a female store manager that it would be coming by 2:30 PM. When I arrived at the store after 4:45 PM it still wasn't there and didn't actually arrive until 5:28 PM. As I waited, I watched a large female that appeared to be the supervisor on duty assist a black gentleman. She quickly offered him a discount simply because he hummed and hawwed at the price of the battery he needed. *I am pretty sure they knew each other from past "dealings". I say this because he uttered, "We will see if I can get it in all the way this time!". That made her blush/giggle and look at him some type of way that made what he said seem not at all related to the battery🤮. I literally had to prompt/ask the staff for my core deposit because it wasn't reflected on my receipt. To summarize: They have inaccurate stock control, they offer friends an 'on the spot discount' (especially if you have had private "dealings" with them 🤮), but not if you have been offered bad service, were given bad pickup time estimates, or have to wait. You have to ensure the staff give you your core deposit, and just overall the staff I interacted with generally seemed like bumbling idiots that would probably be on their phone setting up their next "battery install" 🤮 if you weren't there. *Icing on the cake - Shortly after the skinney black fellow left the female supervisor who looked perfectly fine went home "sick". Instead I think she actually left to help him install his battery 🤮. I have called customer service three times since this happened on Monday evening and have still not heard back from the store about the disgusting experience I endured. Like I said, avoid this place if you can...
Read moreUnfortunate experience. The technicians originally checking my battery began to attach the wrong cables to the wrong battery terminals, not once - but twice. Benefit of the doubt, maybe she was having an off day. After testing my battery and seeing that it was bad, I purchased a new battery from the store and was happy to learn they do free install. The technician was taking a while to install the battery and a second technician went out to check in what was happening. Apparently she had sold me a battery not compatible with car and was trying to install it - again with the wrong terminals. Fortunately this was caught. Th second technician helped make sure the correct battery was purchased and he took over installation, which I was grateful for. As he was installing the battery he shared with me that other technicians at that store had messed up similar installations and shorted out a vehicle recently. Up to this point, it was a mixed experience. Maybe a 2 star review? The kicker was that when I started my vehicle after the battery install my sound system no longer worked! And still doesn’t. I returned to the store to inquire about the issue and was left with no answers or ability to correct the problem. I checked fuses and they are all fine - all I know is that based on my experience and the info provided at this location, I would not recommend this store and be hesitant to ever let a technician from batteries plus touch my vehicle again. No idea how much it will Cost to repair my sound system, but a costly lesson learned on my part and a cautionary tale for those considering...
Read moreWaited in line for about 15 minutes with two guys working the registers, and only one helping a customer. The other guy decided it was more important to casually count money while another customer and I waited and waited. Finally he decided to assist me after all that time. I needed my truck battery checked and it should be covered by warranty. I've gone to batteries plus in the past, and they had no issues checking and changing out my battery. Instead this guy said I'd have to leave it overnight to get it checked to have it replaced. He said if I wanted it checked I could take my battery out of my truck and get my truck towed home. Otherwise he'd get fired if he checked it that day. Are you kidding me?!?! I know that can't possibly be true. The most incompetent, unhelpful and rude person. The other customer I was waiting with asked how much a flash light costs and the worker said "that's a flashlight". The guy said I know... how much is it. And the worker couldn't tell him. Ridiculous. Then after it's confirmed that I wouldn't be getting any help, I left with the worker giving the most sarcastic and rude "have a good night". I went out to my truck parked in the back, and it took me about 5 minutes to calm down. By the time I pulled around to leave, the same worker was outside checking another guy's car battery. I absolutely couldn't believe it. Overall, I'll be sticking to Honest-1 auto care in New Brighton. I couldn't possibly deal with someone so...
