Imagine a place where everything you’ve ever loved from movies and TV shows lives—props, costumes, set pieces—tangible memories from the stories that shaped you.
There are pieces you’d nearly forgotten, fragments of childhood media you thought only you remembered. Around every corner, you're transformed into a gleeful kid again, like flipping through the pages of a beloved fairytale. You tug on your adventure partner’s sleeve—“I had this exact poster in my dorm room!”—before dashing (well, walking quickly, because the details- so, so, many details- deserve your attention) into the next room. “This is the one I used to rent over and over at my small-town video store... there was a cat there I always said hi to...”
A shrine to those long-lost video stores—the ones that closed 15 years ago but still flicker brightly in the hearts of our inner children.
You may come for the promise of props, but it’s your own stories of these posters and cats that will keep you there—sitting on a bench, smiling at your favorite character like you’ve just been reunited with a long-lost sister.
And the costumes may be the work of award-winning designers, but the immersive worlds you’ll walk through are a direct reflection of the imagination of the owner and his partner—two visionaries who have brought the magic of Narnia and beyond to life at your feet.
With something for every kind of fan- really, I could’ve added so many more photos, but want to keep the magic alive-Enchanted Fantasy understands the real magic of media—and I desperately hope they keep their...
Read moreI love the weird, kooky place that Maplewood Mall has become, and I bring my kid there often to take advantage of all the kid-friendly stuff on-site. I’ve seen the proprietor of this museum often while at the mall and have walked by the storefront several times but didn’t get a chance to visit until Halloween, when he was offering donation-based admission during the mall event. This is an incredible collection of authentic film and television costumes and props. It is thoughtfully curated and a truly immersive experience. We were kind of blown away by what’s inside this museum, as it was very impressive and felt like a truly special opportunity to get to see some really cool things!!! That being said, I think the owner is underselling the experience by not calling it, or presenting it, as a true museum! His knowledge about the collection and the thoughtful displays and set-up aren’t necessarily obvious to someone just passing by this place (the name also doesn’t do justice to the care and time that was clearly put into creating the experience. Posted admission cost ($25 per adult, kids under 5 are free) feels high and might be a barrier for people… but if you have the means and/or opportunity to check it out on another free or donation-based day, it’s worth the experience!!! There’s something for...
Read moreI’ve read the good and bad reviews on this.
Me and my boyfriend are into museums and art. We were very hesitant at first because a “museum” in the mall?? The owner said we were able to come in for free IF we were able to make any amount of donation (the reviews are true). The owner did tell me that he designed the entire set up. I will say the owner did a pretty good job setting these up. I don’t know if these were actually the clothing that the actors wore as he said, but this was a bit different. Me and my partner had a great time here especially on a random Sunday afternoon haha. We did donate with whatever amount, $40. I understand everyone has different experiences but I think the owner has potential in making this business successful especially having this in a...
