I stopped there this morning with my two kids after an early appointment. We got there and were seated right away waitress came and took our orders. Our order was very basic just 3 different kinds of pancakes. We sat and waited and waited for 53 minutes. The waitress was walking by and I asked if she could give me an eta for our food, I was like my kids have school. She said hang on, we heard her talking to the chef and the chef was like I don't have orders for table 16. They were both speaking to each other loudly back and forth, him saying he doesn't have it her saying she sent it a while back and she mentioned all of our 3 different pancakes. She came back to the table next to us and shouted at us saying 5 MINUTES! Food came, I had to take mine to go as we did not have time to eat. The kids ate quickly. I walked to the register the waitress saw me but she kept walking passed me. I understand she is busy, but I was there way before almost everyone sitting and being served. She finally came around and I said to her ' Do you guys want to money? I am going to walk out if not.' She said 'If you do I am going to have to find your tab and call the police which I don't have time to do.' I said okay, handing her the card I said I heard you and the chef talking about our order almost an hour after we were seated. She said 'That was none of my fault.' I took my card and as I was walking out she said 'HAVE A GOOD DAY' Shouting out so everyone that was standing can hear. That was rude and uncalled for. She did not apologize on behalf of herself or the chef or anyone. She shouted at me as I walked away quietly. I came home and my to go food has a strand of long hair in it. I am grossed out and never going...
Read moreSorry to say, worst meal I've ever had. First of all the prices were ridiculous for what you get, in comparison with other places. Even the kids didn't like the food. One kid meal was warm enough but the 1 pancake was hardly seen it was so flat and small. That was the Grinch breakfast. My 7 year old ate it but she said it wasn't very good. You dont even get a small drink with the kids meals. The other kids meal was the silver dollar pancakes with scrambled eggs. The egg was cooked in some kind of butter flavored soy oil or something like that. It was not good you could taste it in the eggs. The silver dollar pancakes were cold and kind of hard or stiff. My 2 year old wouldn't eat them or the eggs after a couple of bites. He normally loves pancakes and eggs. The pancakes weren't even served with butter on them. I had to ask for butter. When I put the butter on them it didn't melt at all. I don't have any idea what they are using for flavored syrup, but its not anything I have ever encountered. It's so fake I was appalled. I ordered potato pancakes. When ordering potato pancakes at several other places, you get pancakes with shreds of potato in them. Here you get cakes of hash browns. I could only taste the grease. We left our food with 2 or 3 bites, paid the bill and left. Inwent home and had to feed my kids again. We will never go back. Wasted my money and was so disappointed. If you are going to spend that kind of money for breakfast, go to Keys at least the food is edible and you don't go home hungry. I don't understand why anyone would think this food is good. The prices are terrible for the amount of food you get and when its bad food it's even worse to pay...
Read moreI typically don't get want to waste my time leaving a review if I had a bad experience but I think this is the absolute worst dining experience in my 32 years of life. When my significant other, myself, and Brian entered the iHop in Maplewood, we were greeted not only by the waiter, but multiple uncleaned tables that looked like they were used at least 2-3 hours ago. We let it slid figuring they were understaffed. Secondly, when asked for drinks, my SO asked if there was tea and the waited stated there wasn't any. Again, odd but we can let it slide. Then we got to our order and my SO ordered chicken and waffles with barbecue sauce. Waited stated there isn't any barbecue sauce anymore. My brother and I then took our order; I ordered the cupcake pancakes, and my brother ordered the cinnastack pancakes. After what seemed like too long of a time, our order comes out. Waiter gives each person the wrong dish, and also follows up with, "Sorry, we didn't have the cinnamon frosting that goes in the cinnastack so we just sprinkled some cinnamon sugar on top." Of course, at this point I'm livid and state, "I wish we had known that before making our order". The waiter then walks off with no comment or even asks to replace the dish. We could tell whoever is managing the establishment does not care slightly for the state of the place nor bothered to restock anything. We felt like we were straight up robbed. We didn't even get anything we wanted. We should have left on the stop but we were trying to celebrate an accomplishment so we toughed it out. We are giving ourselves a redo on the celebration somewhere else though. Never will be back here again in my life. Nor will...
