I came here on a Monday night to try this new Korean chicken place out. I was so excited at first when coming in with my sisters. The cashier told us that it will be a 35 minute wait. Of course we were fine by it and I ordered the carribean spicy chicken wings. It came with radish on the side. As well as I ordered fries with it. It came down to about $20. Throughout the whole process my sisters were out and about getting boba and running errands while the workers still had to do our orders. WE WAITED FOR 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES. During the time my sisters were out and about I waited thinking our food will be out anytime soon. There was people waiting as well. But since waiting for our food for that long the people who got theirs first were orders that were behind us. At this point I was pissed. The workers who were there even called out in the back of the kitchen “hey order 59 has been waiting for a hour already” referencing me. As well as another kitchen staff yelling to another worker that “they been waiting for too long now”. I also overheard them refunding other people for their money and not taking people orders no more pass 6:30. AND a issue with Uber eats and DoorDash order giving people discounts and free food over the phone. Coming from a new pop up restaurant people assume that it will be highly satisfied and professionally done. However, just from what me and my sisters experience this restaurant shouldn’t be open in the first place. I get it that with much time and experience it’ll be better but for now why open up when the workers aren’t professionally qualified to handle fast and satisfied service. When I finally got my food and ate it back home I even thought that at least the food will be good. BUT NO!!! IT WAS NOT AT ALL! My chicken wings were spicy but it just taste like plastic. I felt like it just came out of a already prep chicken stored over night. Nothing that I ate was fresh. The radish were too sour. Isn’t it supposed to be refreshing? No! EVEN I saw how they put the containers of radishes down on the floor right in front of my eyes to see. YOU GUYS DON’T REFRIGERATE IT AT ALL. Why not? Totally disgusting! My sisters and I waited for 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES FOR JUST THIS. We ate it of course because we were starving! Overall though this is a place I would not come back to ever again! If you want to spend your time wisely and spend your money where it’s worth it! Go to Bonchon or another Korean BBQ chicken restaurant that knows how to professionally run a food...
Read moreCashier was barred from honoring their BOGO coupon due to it being an online order from their website. Cashier didn’t know the difference between a DoorDash/ubereats/etc vs one that was made directly on their website. Neither a manager or back up manager was as available on call to resolve our issue. We were forced to leave with our issue outstanding after multiple attempts were made by cashier. There was no supervisor on call or on location to help resolve customer issues. Cashier is left on their own with absolutely no power to contact someone with authority.
To clarify: the coupon said that it needed to be redeemed in store. It did not give a warning that it would not be able to be applied retroactively to an online order through their OWN website. Receipt shown to cashier noting the fact that the order went through their ordering system and not a 3rd party like DoorDash.
Overall, very disappointed with our experience there.
Update: it’s the end of the night and no call. Starting to suspect that the “manager” wasn’t being called at all
24 hr update: despite having two phone numbers and an email address, we have not heard directly back from this establishment. The whole place is a scam, be leery about doing...
Read moreTried out this place last Sunday for dinner. There was a large group of about 6 people that were ordering from the kiosk when we got there so we ordered takeout from the workers. Both of the workers were friendly and polite. After we ordered they had a steady stream of customers coming in so weekdays may be a better bet to try them out if you don't want to wait as long. It took about 25 minutes for our order.
We got 16 each of the honey garlic, original spicy, and gangnam style wings. We also ordered the kimchi fried rice and rose ddeok-bokki. We made it all the way back to Woodbury and the wings were still super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! My favorite were the honey garlic, they are more sweet than savory. The gangnam style was the most sauced and it was savory and tangy. The rest of my family raved about the original spicy which was more of a dry seasoning. The wings were good sized wings too! Of the other two dishes we got, I enjoyed the rose ddeok-bokki the most. It was very creamy and more mild in flavor than other ddeok-bokki I've tried before. Can't wait to try them again the next time we are...
