Costumes Plus — Attraction in Maplewood

Easiest 5 Stars ever given. I have been a devoted browser/shopper/follower of this store since it was in its Halloween Express/Lamp store days.

Unmatched in selection for costumes and makeup and accessories, Costumes+ also had an incredible section for the metaphysical arts! Stones, crystals, cards, incense, oils. I love this store and frequent it often — I had no idea it could get even better until we met Miss Tilly.

My youngest nephew is absolutely obsessed with all things Halloween while being completely terrified at the same time. He asks to stop at this store at least once a week? We stopped in recently and he didn’t make it past the first set of doors before he was crying and saying he was too scared.

Upon entering the second doors, I turned back to take his hand and found an employee had literally sat down on the floor to talk with him. Tilly approached he entire situation with such genuine concern and love and care. They spent well over an hour together in the store exploring while Tilly did everything in her power to make sure he was comfortable and enjoying himself.

Thank you doesn’t even express how grateful I am to the time and effort and genuine care that she took getting to know and playing with him to help him feel comfortable.

Employees were extremely helpful and friendly, knew where everything was and were able to strike up amazing conversation.

They had a lot more than I realized and we wound up buying a decent amount of our Halloween decorations for our first home! They're super fun and I'm excited to see more next time!

Enforcing masks, wearking masks, and providing masks/hand sanitizer is amazing! I was present during an anti-masker's lovely escapade and I absolutely adored the way the management and employees handled the situation. It was professional and reasonable. I wound up buying extra because I was impressed, and I definitely plan to go back. I also told my friends and they are impressed as well. The man who I believe to be the manager went around asking customers if they were okay after the anti-masked stopped screaming at everyone and that was very sweet...

Hi everyone - 🙂 this place is so cool! I wished I had more time to look around and take some camera phone pictures of what I like but I already know what I wanted so the ladies that were working there was very helpful 🙂 I had bought a Halloween Batman costume - it was an extra large I brought it home tried it on it was too big for me so later on the day I took it back and ask for an exchange for a large - and I made the right choice I brought it home and it fits really good on me - it was perfect.
