Ocean View Marina — Attraction in Marathon

Ocean View Marina offers a truly one of a kind experience. My wife and I were welcomed with smiles by Isaac and Chris. As first time boat renters, we were a little nervous and not sure of what to expect. However, after going through all the how-to’s and what-if’s, we were left feeling confident and excited for adventure!

Isaac gave us his business card and told us to contact him if anything happened. Lo and behold, we got stuck on a sand bar. I called and he walked us through getting unstuck, and within minutes we were back coasting through the beautiful blue water. This was the best experience and I couldn’t recommend it more for anyone looking to get out on the water. Even with no experience, we were able to learn from the instructors and had no worries once out on the water. The boats were brand new and we were given plenty of time to explore nearby reefs to snorkel, and we brought fishing gear and caught tons of snapper, grunt, yellowtail and many other species of fish both off shore and near 7 Mile Bridge (be careful for the shallows - don’t get stuck like we did!). I highly recommend getting your Bluetooth set up before the ride, as the staff helped us with this and it made the whole experience so much fun listening to music and cruising through the water. Again, I could not recommend this trip any more. I can’t wait to come back to marathon and get back out in the water! My wife and I pulled our new boat to Marathon for a week of boating in the Florida keys, and I'm convinced that our experience would have been much different had we not been so fortunate to find Oceanview Marina. General Manager Isaac Rodriguez and his team were so helpful and their level of service was so impressive, I haven't stopped telling my friends and family about their incredible level of customer service. Dry storage marinas get paid for the basics - putting the boat in the water, providing fuel, and getting the boat out and back on the trailer or rack. But it was the all the non-advertised things that Isaac and his team did for us that sets Oceanview apart. I had to laugh when I went to write this review and saw all previous customer reviews were 5 star, because that has been my experience as well. I live in Iowa and called down randomly after getting their name off the internet (when I was looking for a place to launch, then store my truck and trailer). I can not imagine being more pleased anywhere else. Isaac and his crew were consistently helpful, knowledgeable and professional, while also being fun and personable. To say they went the extra mile with me is a huge underestimate.
