Jesse Hobbs Park — Attraction in Marathon

Nice clean little park There are some very old large Seagrape Trees that throw shade over some of the parking area and part of the children's play/picnic area. A picnic table is conveniently placed right in the shade. Yeah❇️ It is a small park, but has restrooms and a chain link fence protecting the kids from running out into any traffic. My dog, Lilly, likes to walk me past the park at least once per day. Because of that, I can tell you in all honesty that this play are is kept up very well. At least during this spring and summer of 2018. There are various slides and climbing apparatus on the ground. Have fun and remember to bring fresh water, fruits, and toilettes to use. STAY HYDRATED. I would've gave5 stars cause I grew up here but all the money the city of marathon has there's no shade trees compared to the community park which is full of shade trees. The maintenance on this on this park isn't daily nor weekly. To get maintenance you have to find Louis Gonzalez to get it cleaned up. It sucks not to be able to sit under some shade and read my book. When u go to park meeting there's people arguing about dirt on the dog parks than the safety of kids on Jessie Hobbs park its a shame. I reside closely to Jesse Hobbs park. We take our children daily. The sand is so soft & plush. It has basketball for the older kids, & recreation for toddlers as well. Picnic tables and a public bathroom were added recently to improve the quality of your experience.. I was lucky enough to know Mrs. Hobbs personally as my Asst.
