Keys Fitness Center — Local services in Marathon

This is the first review I've ever written . I usually don't bother to complain I just take my business elsewhere but in this case my experience was so bad I thought I'd give others a heads up.

I trained here a couple of years ago and my experience was ok so being back in the Keys again I figured I'd just join for the month I was here..big mistake.

This place is filthy, the equipment is old and run down and they play really annoying music very loud all the time. I worked out here the last 4 days and the same garbage was on the floor and weight racks, nobody cleans anything, the carpet and mats are just plain gross the bathrooms are nasty.

They have to get their act together and get this mess cleaned up, turn down or better yet turn off the music ( 75% of gym users are wearing head sets and listening to their own music). I don't get the whole loud music in the gym thing. Everyone is listening to their own stuff and has to blast it to get past the crappy gym music, just turn the gym music off.

It seem like the deli next door is in charge of the gym also and they just don't care about the gym or know anything about creating a healthy , safe place to work out.

I would not join here...

I’ve tried the couple of gym options on Marathon and Keys Fitness is, hands down, the best option. They have three times the equipment and floor space, of other local gym options, and it’s all kept in great shape.

The owner is onsite daily and is a great guys who is more than willing to help. You don’t need any random access codes, you just walk in, sign in, chat with the owner for a minute, and start your workout!

Lots of new cardio equipment, all of the push, pull, and lower body equipment that you can want. A whole room for free weights.

Make sure to check out the rooms off the main gym for even more specialized equipment.

Like a previous reviewer said, $70 for the week and you’re good for multiple visits in a day even. Other local gym options will charge you twice if you try to do cardio in the morning and lift in the afternoon on the same day.

Look no further for the best gym in Marathon. I can’t say enough good things about this gym...

This place is expensive, dirty as hell (you could get hepatitis just standing in there), the equipment is outdated and much of it broken. Don’t try the sauna because it’s broken full of literal garbage. The staff?? They’re terrible, rude and just plain unwelcoming. They’re lucky no one else has tried to open a gym in the middle keys because this place would be closed within a month. For those of you just visiting, just take...
