Wonderland Bridal — Attraction in Margate

I love this place! I was so busy planning and sleuthing through a sea of information looking for the best venues in Nashville, Potential dance lessons and well reviewed Bridal shops, so when I finally decide On Wonderland Bridal to be my first pick for wedding dress options I knew I was anxious and even a bit worried. My wedding is an out of state affair, that is little over 3 months away, and I’m a plus size bride. you can imagine my concerns with the dress coming in on time and with finding something that would suite me. I didn’t expect to find THE DRESS so quickly in my search.

Customer serves is amazing, I received a response to my email very quickly, and Alicyn was so willing to help with the tight time limit on my dress order. She was never stern incredibly friendly and pleasant on the phone, and best of all she was honest about the dress that she believed suited me and my venue, even if it meant that I didn’t pick the most expensive dress. She cheeked over and over for every dress to see if It would come in on time and she even suggested a tailor( outside her normal Friday serves tailor ) who would be able to complete the final work on my gown within (she presumed) a week. You can tell this owner loves her store and her work, it shows. She was incredibly friendly, open and truthful through the experience. When I question her about her competition in my area she never spoke any ill toward them and even complementing them. ( how often do you see that nowadays? ) It was incredibly refreshing to experience such lovely customer serves. Can’t find a single thing to critic or find fault in with this lovely beautiful store( did I mention how clean, pretty and bright the space was?) .

Some suggestions

This store is personal and focused on the bride (or brides maids) which mad my Gown experience heavenly and such an unforgettable experience. But if you have a larger party of say more then 6-10 trucking along with you ( which I do not recommend, that sounds like a nightmare) expect to feel a bit cramped. that’s not saying the space isn’t comfortable, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

WONDERLAND BRIDAL SHOULD REALLY GET 0 STARS BUT THIS WEBSITE MAKES YOU GIVE AT LEAST 1 STAR WHICH THEY DO NOT DESERVE. I posted a great review for Wonderland Bridal when we ordered the dress for my daughter and thought everything was great. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE TURNED OUT TO BE A DISASTER. My daughter was measured for her gown and it was ordered in the wrong size (off by 3 dress sizes). At that point, we had to order another dress. Three times we made appointments for fittings and when we got there, the bridal salon had a different time. I wrote down the time in a date book as soon as it was made. They also told me a set amount for alterations and when it was time to pick up the dress they added $200 extra and said special things had to be done. I told them they are supposed to tell the client about extra alteration fee BEFORE they do what they think is special. They still didn't explain it properly to me.A jacket was supposed to be altered and it was never done properly. It was delivered 30 minutes before my daughter's wedding ceremony AND IT NEVER LOOKED RIGHT. IT LOOKED SO SLOPPY. I told them I wanted a refund on the jacket since they couldn't get it fixed properly the first place and they refused. At the wedding the bustle (which they did at the wedding) never stayed and my daughter had to drag her dress around (with a long train) the entire party and she was uncomfortable and really angry. I cannot say enough good things about my shopping experience at Wonderland! I ended up buying a dress at another store, but truly could not have found my dream dress without Alicyn's help. I had only been to one other store prior to my appointment at Wonderland and was still kind of lost about what I wanted, and left my appointment feeling the complete opposite! It was an amazing shopping experience since you and your guests are the only ones in the store, and Alicyn was extremely attentive and detail oriented. She picked up on my style extremely quickly, and multiple times knew what I was thinking before I even said it. While it's a smaller shop, I was so impressed at how many dresses they have in their collection of the same style, and they were by far the most knowledgeable about their dresses of all of the places I shopped. Alicyn was able to tell me on the spot what modifications I could make to each dress and clearly was very experienced. She then followed up with me over email very quickly about the customizations I had expressed interest in making to a dress and what they would cost, which was really helpful in my decision making. I was so impressed with her transparency about pricing and how detailed her explanations were. Their prices are also unmatched in my opinion!! They do not do alterations on site, but have several seamstresses they use regularly to refer you to, and I definitely would trust Alicyn's recommendations based on how detail oriented she is!
