After hearing good things about this place, I checked out the website. They were doing some promotional thing, spin the wheel, win a prize. I won a $100 gift card. Awesome! Loaded up and headed over. I was extremely underwhelmed by the products. Particle board book cases scratched up and chipped for $200? You can find very similar pieces of furniture at Walmart for $30. I was looking for a small nightstand, Clay went to the back to pull something out I might like. I saw it, and while it was cute I knew I would need to repaint and cover the top due to some serious wear. He said he would go price check it for me. $130. What? I didn't even spend the full $100 because I saw barely anything worth asking prices. $30 blue ray players with no remotes? A purchased a small decorative pillow for $6, and while it was a better price than say Target, it had a stain on it that I didn't even realize until I got home. You can find better quality and cheaper prices on Craigslist, used is used whether its in a store or someone's garage. $160 for a beat up dresser? No thanks. Left there, went to goodwill directly afterwards and got a nightstand in great condition for $11. I'm not understanding their logic at all. Big lots quality furniture, second hand store condition, Ashley prices. While it was cool to win the gift card, I wouldn't have spent my own money in that store. Giving two stars because at least the service was nice. But when youre trying to convince people to buy beat up furniture for new prices, I guess you do it...
Read moreHORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I would give them 0 stars if I could. Came in to purchase a bed. Was advised items on the SHOWROOM floor were options to take as well, so I tested a few out and chose the one I wanted. When I had it delivered not two hrs later - the bed was NOT the one I picked out!!! This bed was dingy and sagging - and there were PATCHES on every corner as if to try and cover damage or fraying (pics posted in gallery). I immediately called and spoke with Clay (the sales rep who sold me the bed) to complain. He tried to convince me that this was the same bed - NO SIR, IT'S NOT - AND PLEASE DON'T TOY WITH MY INTELLIGENCE. What reputable business is going to put out an obviously damaged piece - patched up and all - on the showroom floor as the display??? And what person will part ways with their hard earned money for something so visibly damaged?? Why, after testing out several other beds would I settle on the patched up one that sags in the middle?? BECAUSE IT'S NOT THE SAME BED!! Now I have to pay to have it delivered in order to return. CORT should have to reimburse me for the initial delivery and the return delivery - since Clay said HE specifically loaded the bed - so you knew it wasn't the same one. Is this how you feel about your customers?? Is this how you treat them?? A far cry from CORT'S values - "We respect our customers' needs and ambitions, understanding that their satisfaction is the greatest measure of our success." I am definitely not satisfied - Will be reaching out to the BBB...
Read moreI needed rental furniture for a corporate relocation. Initially, CORT was unwilling to work with me on my delivery date even though this was 30 days in advance. Kelly Hodges told me that if I had to have my furniture on a specific date, I would just need to find someone else to work with. This was 2 days before the scheduled delivery date. All I wanted is for the product to be delivered when originally promised. It was only after climbing the ladder and speaking with a manager was I able to get my request accommodated. The initial delivery was incorrect. It was short an entire bedroom suit plus a couple of other items. The furniture was adequate, but 2 of the dresser drawers broke shortly after receiving the furniture. When the furniture needed to be picked up, I asked if we needed to gather the rented items together. The answer was that CORT knew their items and would be able to identify. 2 days after pick up, I receive a bill for over $500 for missing items. The items were still at the rental house. The employees just didn't bother to collect the items. I had to call and schedule another pick up for the...
