FYI the covid hours for this museum are 8:00 AM until 5 PM seven days a week but they are not offering guided tours they’re only offering self guided tours.

My son turned three yesterday and he’s currently obsessed with fire trucks. We opted not to have a party because of Covid so we decided to take him to the fire museum so that he could see all the different types of fire trucks, Firemen’s equipment and learn a little bit of history in the process. While the museum is small, it’s packed with a lot of quality interesting historical fire trucks and memorabilia and my son absolutely loved it. It took us about an hour to see everything that’s in there but I think that’s a perfect amount of time for littles. I’d say it only takes about 30 to 45 minutes to see everything the museum has to offer if you’re there with adults or older children. It’s literally attached to the fire station. You can park across the street in the public parking lot that has hourly parking which only cost us two dollars. Entry is free and you definitely can’t beat free 99!

When we finished we walked next door to the attached fire station and the firemen gave my son a plastic fireman’s hat which he loved and cherished. I would highly...

I took a class of twelve 4 year old to the museum on a field trip. We scheduled the trip in advance and they provided our class with two tour guides to walk us through the exhibit, share stories, and answer questions. They were amazing guides! Because of the positive experience with the field trip I soon after brought my daughter (age 4) to the Marietta Fire Museum. She was very excited to get a chance to see the trucks both new and old close up. The museum is small and so it doesn't take long to walk though which makes it a perfect place to stop at on your trip into the Downtown...

A beautiful collection of historic fire department apparatus...all actually used and maintained by the city of Marietta Fire department. This includes a magnificent Silsby Steamer- In 1879 the City of Marietta purchased a Silsby Steam-powered pumper. It was the 655th steamer manufactured by the Silsby Manufacturing Company in Seneca Falls, NY. It's a 500-gallon pumper and can flow approximately two tons of water per minute. It served the city until 1921 when it was replaced by the 1921 American LaFrance pumper.
