This was my 1st visit to a Kohl's store and I was pleasantly intrigued by the experience. To me it seemed like a blend of Target, Marshalls and Kmart with a little Macy's & Penny's mixed in. Some items were simply cheap in both price and quality. Some items seemed to be real bargains like you might find in an odd lots close out store. Some areas had limited selections, but most had a wide variety of choices. The men's casual slacks department had the greatest assortment of brands, sizes, styles, colors and materials that I've seen since moving back to NJ.
You have to browse around a bit to locate the true bargains of high quality and low price, but it was an overall good shopping trip. We bought a lot of toddler clothes for our 2 granddaughters. There were many good brand name items on 'Buy 1 Get 2nd at 50% off' sales. My wife kept finding item after item that we hadn't intended to buy but the prices were so good she couldn't control herself.
Three thoughts on the slightly negative side:
Bottom line: I'll be back. They probably have us as new...
Read moreKohl's, it has gotten better since I was there last. The store looks much neater, and it's easier to find things....not impressed with Sephora! Miss the jewelry department! The sales are still extremely hard to follow online it was 40% off in store 20%, so that is more than annoying! I did increase to 5 stars how after being there today and dealing with this horrible cashier name Deborah I'm reducing it because she was just awful she treated me like a 10 year old child and I'll never come back if she's there and the manager Tanya did not step in and say anything to her. They kept telling me that if you buy anything online, it has nothing to do with their store software, which is all the same store, and that's why they're losing money. The customer service department is just inadequate since they always tell you to go to the store in the store and tell you to call customer service, so it's like a catch 22. To add salt to the wound I called customer service and they told me a supervisor would call me back over a day and a half ago and I still haven't heard from anyone so I don't believe in the store Integrity of the store or the honesty of the employees it's all a sham. Lately I've been getting better people at the customer service desk but it isn't very consistent because sometimes people are very helpful and knowledgeable and other times they're not and it's very difficult to find anyone in the store to ask questions to on the floor. I found myself shopping online, and I really dread returning...
Read moreWhere are your prices!?!? Just put tags on your items already. Kohls has become the most obnoxious and difficult place in the Marlboro/old bridge/manalapan area. . I should not have to carry items around like a turd because you dont label anything and your stupid price boxes are illegal or nonexoatance.
Passssss!.
Come on love, were going to check out Marshall's becuse.their store does not have a terrible layout and make it difficult to pick out what you want to buy and know what the items all cost.
Designed to have you left with a way to high price at checkout since you wont know what robbery they are pulling for each item until the register.
I use to like kohls but is now and will continue to be a trash store with a horrible business model, understaffed with not enough employees working in a given location, until they decide to.tag their items with clearly marked prices.
I feel like I should be haggling the for a better price since they essentially make up the cost for each item...
