I've lived in Marysville for a couple of years now and have been in a rut of just a handful of restaurants in town that meet my approval. I now have a new restaurant in my repertoire! I took a chance and tried Taste of Aloha based solely on the reviews. I don't have a benchmark of good Hawaiian food so I'm coming at it from a desire for good flavor and quality meats. I was not disappointed. The service was quick and staff were helpful and friendly. The food was packaged well and was still warm when I got it home. There are a couple of stools at a counter if you wanted to dine in, but it is set up for take out. Quantity was large -we got two more meals out of our orders of Shoyu chicken, Kalua Pig, and Teriyaki beef. All the meats were flavorful and not full of fatty bits or other parts I didn't want to eat. The guava cake was light with a delicate and not overly sweet flavor. The perfect dessert for this meal. Read moreOh my GOSH this is so good!! Tried it for the first time today & we will definitely be back- we could not stop talking about how delicious and authentic the food was all day… felt like we were back on the islands! We tried the laulau, kalua pork, poke, Mac salad and loco moco!! Wanted to get a lil of everything to try and every single item was so tasty. Both the laulau and kahlua were fall apart tender!
The only thing is we had a bit of a hard time finding the place at first- it’s not on the main street- it’s tucked away behind the building where the parking lot is! It was a lil chaotic trying to order- there were a lot of people in there but that is a good sign! So yummy & worth the wait. They also have a fun lil gift shop with Hawaiian themed items. Definitely felt like a take out only place as there were just a few chairs to sit & wait for your food but man that was all so yummy-...
Read moreI recently moved to Marysville & had been craving teriyaki. I Googled some near me but fortunately this lil Gem popped up as well. A quick glance at the menu & I forgot all about teriyaki! I got the Beef Loco Moco and it was awesome! Every ingredient (rice, beef, egg, gravy) tasted fresh flavourful. My friend got the Mochiko/Kalua Pig Combo and loved it, said it was delicious & authentic (not sure how he'd know, but he definitely meant it to be a compliment) & my daughter gobbled up her mini Mochiko. Can't wait to try so many other things on the menu, including the desserts! The little shop was super welcoming, clean & had such a good vibe. I'll eat in for sure next time. The young lady who handed me my order was sweet and friendly. I'm definitely a new fan of this place. Oh, and there's a selection of teriyaki items on the menu as...
