I've called 3 times and left a message. I then receive a text from a virtual assistant wanting to schedule an appointment. It's my first time going to this business and I have questions. I find it INCREDIBLY irritating and bad business that you have to book an appointment online and expected to give them a credit card number to 'hold' the appointment. How do I know I'll get the right stylist for my hair if I can't speak with someone???? I'm suppose to blatantly give out my credit card???? I wanted to go here because of the reviews. Unfortunately, I can't speak to someone. That's just bad business. Sure, take my credit card and expect me to just trust whoever I get an appointment with without being able to speak to them. If a potential customer is treated with such indifference, why would they want to book an appointment? Here is the conversation with the virtual assistant: HAIR BAR: Thanks for call the The Hair Bar! This is our super-easy text service for making and changing appointments and answering questions. ME: I want a call please. HAIR BAR: I've forward your request for a call to our front desk team, who will be in touch with you shortly. NO CALL HAIR BAR: For coloring services, we have the following options... ME: I have a question and want to speak to a human. HAIR BAR: I can help you with booking your appointment.... ME: No call, no appointment HAIR BAR: We do not have anything open on those dates/times. Here are some times..... NO CALL HAIR BAR: Please give me a moment while I check that for you. HAIR BAR: I have forward your message to the front des, they'll get in touch with you as soon as possible. HAIR BAR: I'm sorry, we could not accommodate your request at this time. Please feel free to text us back whenever you need to schedule again. I GAVE UP. It's obvious they don't want...

I’ve been to The Hair Bar twice now with Molly — first for a haircut, then for a micro blonde appointment about two weeks later.
Booking online is convenient if you don’t like calling, but just a heads up: things can get mixed up sometimes. My original color appointment had to be moved because my time slot was double-booked, and then rescheduled again the morning of because Molly was sick. A phone call would have felt more personal than a text at that point, but I do appreciate that they let me know.
My first appointment, the haircut, was nice overall. Molly washed and dried my hair, then did the cut dry. She said it was “choppy,” which I’m still not totally sure about, but the cut has grown in well.
When I finally got in for my color, I was really happy with it. I’m sticking with blonde and Molly did it so it’ll grow out low maintenance — exactly what I wanted.
All in all, I’d give The Hair Bar 4 stars. Booking is easy (but not foolproof), communication could be a little better, but I’m happy with how my...
Read moreFirst appointment there and I absolutely loved it. I had Paris and she was just wonderful, she helped me decide on a haircut and was sure to check in and ask about lengths and such and always answered my questions as well as gave me her opinion on aspects of the cut that I was having trouble making up my mind about. She was awesome to talk to as well and then even recommended me other stylists that would be best suited for my hair cut, products for my hair, etc. She also was happy to explain things to me that I didn't understand like what a diffuser is lol.
I also greatly appreciated that they send you a reminder text about your appointment days in advance as I've been to other salons without a way to confirm appointments and when I came in the day of my appointment, found that they couldn't see it/"lost it." The Hair Bar made the process simple and easy.
I will definitely be returning and was already confident enough to get another appointment on the books. I highly...
