We had an incredible 3-hour snorkeling tour with Spencer and Johnny on the Amore. 20/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a more private and knowledgeable guided snorkeling tour on Maui. Spencer and Johnny were incredible co-captains and excellent hosts. Kind, welcoming, and explained where we were going and what we would be seeing. They knew exactly where to go—not only did we see EIGHT green sea turtles within our first 10 minutes of snorkeling, we were also lucky enough for a Hawaiian monk seal to swim right up next to our boat to say hello. The coral and fish were beautiful and the water was calm with high visibility. The Amore could comfortably host a much larger party (up to 6), but we were lucky enough that our morning tour turned out to just be the two of us. As a result, we were able to customize our tour, including guided snorkeling, free snorkeling alongside the boat, and they even let us try the Subwing watersport board, which let us “power snorkel” over nearly a mile of coastline and also do underwater dives and barrel rolls! The boat itself is gorgeous, modern with lots of technology (gyroscopic stabilization!), and a super comfy lounging area at the bow, with a seating area with table and semi-circle chaise lounge. Bonus points: - The General Store, where you meet your guide, is adorable and has ample snacks and drinks (including beer, wine, and canned cocktails), as well as excellent food options. The tour provides a $15 per person stipend to spend at the store prior to (or after) your tour. - Spencer recommended a spot for lunch—Havens, right next to the harbor—that ended up being our favorite meal on Maui. Major bonus points for the excellent recommendation!

We were welcomed warmly by the captain of the boat Spencer. We met Ben at the boat and had amazing 3 hrs of Moana/Mermaid kind of experience. Both Spencer and Ben took us on a trip we will never forget. The boat is amazing, clean and fast. The snorkeling experience was top notch! Thank you so much to both of you on behalf of my husband and I. If you are visiting the island of Maui we strongly recommend the Hawaiian Nautical and come to support them! We understand they have boats on the Big Island and Oahu, as well. P.S. Get yourself water and enjoy the ride. Don’t waste your time on food or alcohol drinks, as you will get $30.00 credit at the local store you can enjoy afterwards.

We recently returned from a fantastic week in Maui. In a trip full of highlights, the absolute best part of our trip was our morning spent with Ryan and Zade on the the Amore! We had a "snorkeling trip" that basically turned into a whale watching adventure with snorkeling as an added bonus. I have seen whales before but never had one swim directly under our boat, it was breath taking. I really do want to shout out to the crew. They were awesome. Zade was super educated on the marine life and island and Ryan was just a very cool Captain for our little crew. Great vibes all around, perfect trip on the water. Thank you and we will be back!

🌟 11/10 – Unforgettable Luxury Snorkel Trip with Hawaii Nautical! 🌟

My spouse and I had the absolute BEST time on our luxury boat and snorkel trip with Hawaii Nautical – hands down the highlight of our week-long stay in Maui!

From the moment we stepped on board, the experience felt first-class. The boat was truly luxurious — clean, spacious, and incredibly steady on the water. I’m someone who’s very prone to motion sickness, but I didn’t feel even a hint of discomfort the entire time. It made all the difference.

Spencer and Johnny were beyond amazing. They checked in with us regularly to make sure we had enough food, water, and were comfortable with the timing of everything. Their attention to detail and genuine care didn’t go unnoticed.

What really blew me away, though, was their incredible patience and support during snorkeling. I cannot swim and was genuinely nervous — but Spencer and Johnny took the time to help me get comfortable in the water, offering calming tips and endless encouragement. Even with a float belt, I was scared, but one of them came with us into the water and stayed close by the entire time, adjusting the plan based on my comfort level. They made sure to avoid deep spots after I shared my fear of depths, and found a peaceful, less crowded area to snorkel that felt like our own private paradise.

To my surprise, I ended up snorkeling for over an hour, taking breaks as needed — and even tried being pulled gently by the boat while using the snorkel! That moment alone felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I never thought I’d enjoy the ocean like this, and it’s 100% thanks to their guidance and care.

We are so grateful to Spencer, Johnny, and the entire Hawaii Nautical team. I’d give them 11/10 if I could. When we return to Maui (and we will!), there’s no question — we’ll be booking with them again.

Mahalo for a day we’ll never...

When trying to decide on an experience for our team, this was easily the best decision we made on our work trip to Maui. We not only felt safe and in good hands, but had a terrific time with Captain Spence, Konou, and Jon! Spence met us at the general store (Dole whip and fish tacos get thumbs up from us) and took us to the boat which is extremely clean with ample comfortable seating and sun protection. We had a couple people in our group who were nervous about sea sickness and captain Spence made sure they knew their options and what they could expect. Happy to report no one experienced any nausea or discomfort of any kind on this trip! Captain drove us about 30min south and gave us a thorough tutorial on our equipment. We got two guides in the water with us showing us all around the reefs and making sure we stayed together while Konou took pictures and video of us. We saw multiple turtles, many different types of fish while snorkeling, and whale breaching from the boat to and from our snorkeling spot. This was a very memorable experience and really appreciated these guys taking such...
