Kanaʻi A Nalu — Hotel in Maui

Myperfectstay managed the unit for the owner. The manager was nice. The pool area and grill area was well maintained. As for the unit (215), it has a leaky bathroom shower. All that waste could have been sent to Kapalua Golf for their dry conditions. The Yelp electronic entry door lock (batteries) were not maintained and we were locked out on our second day there. Fortunately, there was a key in a lock box but you had to email a service to get a code for that and no one was in the office on-site. Restricted as to what temperature you could turn the A/C down to.. View from 2nd floor balcony was blocked by a tree. Parking spots need to be bigger. We got a door ding on our rental Jeep from a deuce bag renter in unit 119 that couldn't man up and leave a note. I got their tag # and photos of them when they were leaving. Will give to rental company for their investigation. Suggestion: re-stripe the lot and lose a space between small islands plus allow back in parking. Spray for nat issue. Water for our unit was shut off for an hour and a half. More notice would have been nice. So MyPerfectStay has down falls. I wonder if I will get some of my money back when I ask. Maybe another week to stay to have a perfect stay...

My Mother-In-Law booked with Barb and Larry and I just wanted to Thank them for sharing their slice of Heaven with my family. It’s my husband’s and I first time in Hawaii and my daughter is visiting her Grandparents… so momentous occasion deserves Top Notch Hospitality and being #VegasBorn that’s my specialty. I truly appreciated how beautiful the decor and amenities that were available for all of us. The home was stocked with the essentials for cleanliness and goodliness!! Boogie boards and handwritten excursions notes 📝 for my daughter in mind, can’t go wrong with that❣️ Outside of this condo, is Heaven. You are literally standing right next to Heaven. The bbq with a large family table outside next to loud crashing waves that take your breath away and yes, 🙌🏽 it may have taken the sandy beach away, but it didn’t steal it all… just invites the soul to take a romantic stroll onto the beach right next door. Location is out of the way from touristy zones or even grocery stores (~15 mins away from airport) - which is exactly what we wanted. Every lanai overlooked the ocean - made breakfast and any other meals heavenly sitting there and listening to the waves. The beach strip is long and feels private - because it’s not touristy - and so we did a lot of morning walks at sunrise with very few around us, if any. If you’re looking for a quiet family getaway, away from tourists and other busy regions in Maui, this is the spot. Very few restaurants nearby so if you’re hoping for takeout, you may want to grab it on your way. We mostly did our own cooking - grabbed groceries, fresh fruits, fish etc in farmers markets etc - and cooked in the spacious kitchen.
