When I first started coming to this place I liked it a lot. But.... Over time the fishing has taken a nose dive. Not sure if people are taking the fish or what but for the last 3 months, I've caught the same two catfish over and over again. And not that often. Same little blue gil. And same little tilapia. And that's when there's no one there. I've also noticed lately that the people that come to fish, are only there for under an hour. I ask is anything biting and they all say the same thing. There's only two fish in there. I'm starting to believe it now. Usually catch something or at least a few bites within 20 minutes of casting out. But, for the last few months nearly morning. It's (the pond) also poorly maintained. So much salad you'll spend most of your time putting Nate rather than getting a bit or, let alone catching something. Needs to be restocked. Tired of catching the same catfish every 2 or 3 weeks. Must find a better park. Fix it please. Lots of people are refusing to come back...

When you're feel you're distancing from nature, Fireman's Park is the perfect place to go! Fireman's Park is the perfect place to run along it's beautiful pathways, bird sight, cookout, or simply just go for a casual walk. For birds enthusiasts, beginner or amauter, it definitely is a wonderful place to go that isn't far from home! A good time to visit the Fireman's Park is early in the morning when it's fresh and all the birds making their morning routine at Fireman's Park. Great Egret, Snowy Egret, Gray Hawk, Killdeer, and Green Herons are some of the amazing birds you'll see if you visit Fireman's Park! Equiped with two parks and a restroom the park sure is a great place to have the kids tag along! But be weary about the ducks! They can make your experience truly unforgettable, as they glide gracefully across the lake. Filled with vibrance and life, the Fireman's Park is truly...

Fun place for the whole family. Its normally clean and the general public there tends to be nice and polite. The fishing there is fun just be aware theres a lot of grass and algae so you might get snagged every once in a while but I don't see that as a negative. Catch and release only. The security guard shows up ever once in a while but is very polite. Theres a cement sidewall all around the lake you can walk. Theres also bikes to rent as well as paddle boards and kayaks. Ambiance is aweslme here, good place to just sit on the bank and read...

This park looked nice when i saw it from the University Drafthouse restaurant last Sunday, so I decided to stroll around it today late in the afternoon. I was truly disappointed since it looked pretty nasty: old bird droppings everywhere, dirty bathrooms and that pond/small lake smelled very bad since it appears it has not been dredge in years. There was visible nasty algae everywhere. I probably would not use its facility for any parties for the reasons mentioned above. I give it 3 stars because of the beautiful birds that hang around this pond.
