Haruhi Head Spa — Local services in McKinney

My friend and I were really excited to try something new, and with all the great reviews, we didn’t even hesitate to book! The space itself is absolutely beautiful.. very clean, relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. The staff was friendly, and the washing station area was incredibly calming.

However, the service itself could use some improvement. I think better communication would make a huge difference.. asking clients about their preferences on things like water temperature, massage pressure, and overall expectations. The lady who helped my friend was a bit too rough for her liking, while the gentleman who helped me was a little too gentle and used very cold water. Looking back, I wish I had spoken up, so that part’s on me.. but it would be nice if staff took the lead on checking in during the service.

Afterward, we were taken to a blow-dry room, which was a great surprise and such a nice touch. Unfortunately, my hair ended up feeling greasy with some product build-up and didn’t smell great, so I had to wash it again once I got home.

One other thing worth mentioning we felt a bit pressured in person to leave a 5-star review before leaving, which was uncomfortable because it’s hard to say no in the moment.

Overall, this place has great potential. The environment is lovely and the people are kind, but they could really benefit from more training, experience, and client communication. With a few adjustments, I think it could easily live up to 5...

Had an amazing first time experience visiting here at the location McKinney. I went with two of my girlfriends and we selected the “love me more “Package. To be honest, we didn’t really know what to expect. Other than that. They were gonna wash our hair lol😂 We were so pleasantly surprised! We really enjoyed the Customer Service and how beautiful the spa was. Upon arrival we were escorted to a private changing room with lockers. We were given gowns to change into and slippers to wear. Then we were taken to the head spa room that was dimly lit and cozy. As one of my friends said, “I don’t think our hair has ever been this clean ever in our lives before!” 🥴🤣😂 The massage was soothing, and I felt like the entire experience was overall great. After the spa they took us into the hairdressing room where they blow dried our hair and let us even try out some of the Dyson products they have. we were even greeted with our own teapot and Japanese sweet treat. I think they mean very well, which is why I gave 3 instead of 2 ⭐️. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I would not return here. I got the Care Me package and I would say it barely qualifies as a facial, they just washed and moisturized my face then rolled some quartz rollers over it. Afterwards, my hair was very tangly and I could tell it had not been conditioned (or maybe cheaply conditioned) and when I asked, she said that’s a different package. My package was “just clean”, which I can attest to. I believe they shampooed my hair three times and that’s it. While it was relaxing, I found the head massage lacking, which is what I was looking forward to most. It also would’ve been nice to be told what he was applying or doing, even if the language barrier was extreme.
