Happy Donuts — Restaurant in McKinney

Tried this place twice before leaving a review. Both times the donuts were amazing. They are soft and light and almost melt in your mouth. The filled donuts are filled while you are there, which is nice because it keeps the moisture from the filling from weighing down the donut. The glaze is just slightly heavy - if I had my dream donut it would be these with just a bit less glaze. Oh, and their donut holes are probably the best I've had. I wasn't a fan of their kolaches, but I'm not really in a position to review them since I don't each many kolaches. And, I"ve seen a bigger variety of donuts at other shops, but I would much prefer less variety for quality product. Customer service was great and the employees I saw were wearing masks. I did ask for one item that appeared sold out and she went and got it from the back. Their display case is somewhat small, so of course they will have more in the back to refill (you could see them working on them from the front). I am all about supporting local businesses but this place is doing the most! My son chose one basic donut (they do have weird shaped ones that im assuming are even more expensive) and THREE donut holes and we were charged $5.79! even though the menu board clearly shows different pricing. When I asked the lady about the price difference she was extremely rude and said "thats how much it is." I can't imagine ordering something crazy like a dozen donuts, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they are doing this to everyone that comes in. The place is a little dingy and run down, extremely disappointing. You're better off going to Dunkin next door which is exactly what we will be doing...

Best donuts around! This is the only donut shop I go to in the area. The donuts (especially the cinnamon rolls & mini cinnamon rolls) are enough to keep you coming, but they offer so much more! The donuts are light, fluffy, fresh, and delicious. They make very cute seasonal and animal donuts regularly. The team takes time to remember their customers, always gives a warm welcome, and makes meaningful connections. The shop is always clean and inviting. They even give away free fresh donut holes and balloons for kids! I recommend this place every time I have the...
