I've been a customer of Les Schwab for probably 40 years. In that time I have encountered good and bad customer service experiences. Sadly, since the old man died, it's been more bad than good. I went into this Les Schwab after being highly dissatisfied by the ones in Medford. in fact, I was bringing my car in because something wasn't done right at one of the Medford shops. The name of your company matters very little in your kind of business. What is important is the face and the customer service that one receives from your employees that makes your company good or bad.
I went in there last Thursday and was greeted by a young man named Lucas. I told him I was on my way to Firestone, and that I was done with Les Schwab but figured since I hadn't tried this one I was willing to give it a chance for the sake of nostalgia.
He made himself the project manager for my car. He said he did not have the parts he needed to repair my brakes but that he would have them in a couple of days and if I was willing to come back, he told me that he did not work on Friday when the parts would get there, but he worked on Saturday, and asked if I wanted him to continue on the project that I should bring it in on Saturday.
I showed up on Saturday at the agreed-upon time, Lucas was there and so were the parts. He had told me that the job would take 2 hours, And that was exactly how long the job took. No need for excuses no need for apologies, nothing.
I want to say right up front that I don't know Lucas personally. But we're not for him, Les Schwab would never have had my business again. He turned me around, and you once again have a loyal customer.
Lucas is a responsible man that clearly loves his job and loves doing right by customers. He is an asset to your company. And if you are lucky, he will continue to be there for a...
Read moreI called in the morning of 5/29/24 and I called and asked to see if I could get my CV axle replaced it was really important, and I was gonna get a set of four new tires as well, along with an alignment ,and I was told “yes bring it on by. “ i said I was gonna tow it in because it’s not safe to drive. so I get there, I drop it off. I leave them my key, and then I go home and I wait for the call. I got called about an hour and a half into their work, and they told me they needed to replace a stud- it was stripped- I said that’s fine. They said that it would be about $300 at most for the CV axle. I said that’s fine. he told me that I would need to get an alignment done as well which I said that’s what I’m trying to do. I’m trying to get an alignment and the CV axles replaced. so then I go and pick up my car when they call me to tell me it’s ready, and I get the receipt. I was wondering why it wasn’t as much money as I thought it was gonna be, then I look at the invoice and I see that they replaced the stud, and did the tires, and they did not do the CV axle. There was NOT clear communication with me about that. That is so not OK. I towed my car in there because it was not safe to drive, and they let me drive it off of the lot like that when I tow it in!!! bunch of idiots!! it’s not safe, and they knew it wasn’t safe. Now I have to pay EXTRA for a tow. I absolutely can not believe that. Not happy. Won’t recommend to anyone. I’ll tell everyone I know about my experience. the biggest problem is they let me drive off there with an unsafe car!!!that is so messed up that could cause way more damage to my car and even...
Read moreHad issues with my truck when I got it back after they serviced my rear brakes. Started pulling hard right whenever I applied the brake and pedal was softer than when I brought it in. I called and was told they didn’t bleed the rear properly and to bring it back would be a quick 30 minutes. After an hour I was told they were going for a ride and that I should be getting my truck back soon. After about 10 minutes truck pulls back into the lot and immediately into another bay and had tires pulled off. I watched as for another 45 minutes they just redid the entire brake job completely. Asked them what the situation was as the last thing I was told was I was to receive my truck after a spin. Was told they were bleeding the front brakes now. When I asked why the rear tires were off again if they were bleeding the fronts and was told calibration. Was told no air pockets came out from my truck either front nor rear. Got truck back, back to normal. Felt lied to during the entire process and required me to take action to get my truck back properly. Completely unacceptable that my truck went out in the first place as they most definitely improperly installed the brakes and than didn’t want to admit fault once I brought it back. Had my truck for 6 hours in total over two days. Put nasty hands prints on the interior liner/steering wheel...
