I want to say that I am very disappointed with Ebbo. I have been a long time customer and I haven't had any problems with them until yesterday/today. Everytime I shop in there I spend $100 or more. This time I purchased a "fixed" candle for $14.99. (I won't say the name) And when I made it home, I lit it. The candle wasn't lit for maybe an hour and a half and the top part of the glass fell into my sink when I picked the candle up to extinguish it before bed. The sides and bottom were cracked from within. Oil oozed from the sides and bottom and was all on my countertop. I tried to do an exchange at the store and the 2 men at the counter around 1:15pm on 1/13/22 would not let me exchange it. They really wasn't trying to hear what I had to say. The older guy wanted to get spiritual and say "well they say if the candle breaks that means you completed the spell" and all this bull... I'm aware of that. I know how all of that works. But not a brand new candle. That candle was still full to the to. I very seldom make issues about things. I'm one of those customers that if you get my order wrong in the drive thru, I'll just take it as a loss and won't make a scene... But we're talking about $15! I'm very upset with the 2 gentlemen at the cash register. They were not empathetic AT ALL. It was a flat NO and they didn't even try to accommodate me. Anyone with good sense could tell the candle was defected. Bad customer service!!!! I wasn't asking for a refund all I wanted was an exchange. But, I will say that you all have just lost a customer that supported you all to the fullest behind a CANDLE!!! And I will be sure to inform my friends that shop there of the distasteful customer service I received today and I will spend my hard earned money ELSEWHERE...
Read moreHad exactly what I was looking for which were prayer candles, sage, statues of saints, books on Yoruba (West African religion) and the 6th and 7th Books of Moses. As you can tell this store caters to the root-workers and healers of the original, ever evolving religion of Africa and her manifestations in the West Indes, South American, and the New World.
There are also books and supplies for those working with more European and neo-pagan traditions. A little esoteric Freemasonry in the book department (Books on Masonry by Masons - most stores don't know the difference). No Crowley or Thelema, but you should take note that it is a miracle Spiritual stores can even exist in the South and unfortunately even the most Mystic of Americans are closed minded to Crowley and Thelema. There is a nice variety of Tarot Cards. Lots of statues and even pendulums for divination.
It is the ultimate store for those wishing to PRACTICE and ENGAGE but I will say I was impressed with their book selection. They did not always have the most popular versions of certain Grimoires, but they had the one's that are most practical for the practitioner, not the arm chair occultist.
Don't forget to check out the shelves of herbs. OVERWHELMING! Prices are extremely reasonable. I will not being purchasing my supplies online anymore, it is worth the 6 hr drive there and back.
"Ebbo" is the Yoruba word for sacramental offering. What are you waiting for? Claim your gift!

Read moreIf you are from Memphis and not familiar with spiritual supply stores in NY, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta and other metro cities, you may think this the best thing since sliced bread, however, there are people who indeed need assistance and there are those that donât. I have been in there and tall so called white guy would ask what am I getting the herbs for or even assume what type of work I am doing. All of this is none of his business. I have been there while another assist me to tell me how bad coffee is for me and that I shouldnât drink it. This again, is none of his business. The associates should only speak when someone needs assistance, otherwise, they are simply to be stewards of the store and not in anyoneâs business of the customerâs spiritual workings UNLESS the customer asks. The tall so called white guy is the rudest...
