I came into the piggly wiggly in Menasaha tonight and walked up to deli and asked the young lady if I could get a pound of pit ham. I was very rudely told that she was done cutting meat and hand slicer cleaned for the night. I looked around did not see any sign saying deli closed. I kindly asked her if I could please get some sliced. I have never been in this store after work, when I do most my shopping and been told that I could not get anything at deli. After me asking her kindly 2 times the young lady stomped to the back room and found the slicer parts and slammed them down and put slicer together. She then turned and Rudely asked me how much do you want. I again said 2 pounds. She then slammed open deli case door and was throwing the meat around till she found the ham. She then slammed the meat on the slicer and turned to me and said I can close deli any time I want. I said well a sign should be added to counter then. She rudely said I donât get paid enough for this. I told her thank you for doing this and she had some choice words to comment and at that point I told her that her attitude was not acceptable and asked to speak to manager only to be told she was only one there. I said I will talk with store manager on way out. She then turned and slammed meat on scale, bagged it and basically throws at me. I have never in my life been treated so Rudely. This young lady should not be in customer service. Sad to say I did talk with store manager and expressed this young lady should be let go. Nobody should be...
Read moreHad my bagger (bagging for Steve, a super kind dude whoâs worked here for years, today 11/7 around 1:54) tell me that she was âoffendedâ because I very politely asked to bag my own groceries, being on a bike with a backpack and really not needing any bags period. She was (very) visibly irritated, interjected and voiced her being offended as I discussed MY MOTHERS CANCER with Steve whoâs known her for yearsâŚjust totally rude and unprofessional to the max. Whoâs offended? Because I want to bag MY own 2 bags of stuff that I need to carry home a certain way? God forbid Iâd have tried to instruct her as to how to bag everything to fit on my bike!
Not sure what kind of disability she has but she doesnât belong working in any sort of customer service position. Never met a bagger who wasnât more than happy to take a 30 second break. I donât like to judge books by their covers, but I likely wouldnât have let this thing bag my stuff even if Iâd needed her to, to be quite frank. Canât imagine she was very impressive during her interview. Yuck. Unfortunately par for the course at this place, for the most...
Read moreI started shopping here as i wanted to patronize a local business and keep them around rather than going to walmart for my groceries. I knew it'd be more expensive and was ok with that. Three separate times i wanted to purchase something but left the store without it because there was no price anywhere and i wasnt willing to chase down an employee and wait for a price check. One time i said something to an employee and got attitude in return. Also theres seldom more than 2 lanes open, which i understand but its still a pain waiting sometimes. Another time i went to get a loyalty card and 2 employees were talking behind they counter, they stood and talked while looking at me for 5 minutes without serving me, finally i walked away and then one finally came running up to help when he seen me turn away in disgust. Now i shop at Pick & Save on Calumet and love it. When you're a small town grocery you can't compete on price then you'd best compete on service. I predict this store will be out of business...
