To support small farmers is much more genuine, than buying C GRADE produce from big corporations. Big corporations can get away with selling C grade produce because they sell it at most times of the day, every day of the week, to your convenience. With the farmers market you can GUARANTEE that the produce you are buying is local (meaning the farmers come from just outside the bay area), picked the day before the market, and organic. Read moreThe vendors are rude and don't seem to care about customers. I have heard couple of them yell at customers. It is quite small and there is not much variety. Same farmers there for years and seem to take their place for granted. Also, I am not sure if anyone checks their farming practices. Some say they have organic produce, some say they follow good practices... Oh and since there is not much variety, the pricing is too high for certain products.
