I wasn't going to do this but after thinking about it I felt it was important to share because I see SO many looking for good nail places!! My best friend and I went last night to Cassia Nail Spa in Menomonee Falls. It was the absolute WORST service I have ever gotten in my life. When we made the appointments we requested someone good at nail art/designs because I'm extra like that. We were told I was going to see their best guy. We get in and I'm with a guy who I believe his name was Tony, he was in spot #4. We asked if we could move so we could be closer, the girl told Ally "oh no he won't move, he's too good and doesn't take to being told what to do" which should have been a red flag right there (also, we were on the opposite side of the salon, which wasn't a big deal - definitely not a make it or break it). He seemed friendly at first but as soon as he was putting the tips on, I told him I liked my nails SHORT. He had to take the length down twice because they were too long (so easy to fix no biggie), but that seemed where the friendliness started to fade. He did the acrylic and asked if I liked them, I said the length was ok but they were all slanted and that none of them were straight. So he handed ME the nail file and he sat back in his chair and crossed his arms while the other nails techs around us all started laughing, one even GOT UP to come watch!!! I should have stopped there, but I didn't (my bad). Once that was done he went right into painting them. He didn't file the tops out at all to get it smooth, he didn't wipe them to get the dust from filing the tips straight - just right into painting. I mentioned that there was dust all over them which you could see/feel as it was gritty and lumpy. He very clearly got frustrated with me and at this point started by very aggressive with my hands - he filed the polish off of ONE of the nails and went right back to painting it, again with powder residue (and at this point this was just basic black, not even starting the designs). He then kept moving my hand around in the lamp as if I've never done this before. His black color was very sticky and took 3-2 times to cure under the lamp (I'm a nair tech by trade so I know what is up). Then he finally moved onto the designs, which could have been complicated (mickey head as a bat, mickey head as a ghost and one as a pumpkin). I was told he's the best. I've seen on their page they have amazing art, and we were told I had the best nail artist they had. He couldn't (or maybe wouldn't?) do it - my ghost was a blob and my bat was a squiggle. To which I replied to just take them off at this point because clearly me trying to explain what I wanted was not something he was understanding (I also had a picture). At this point he was still handling my hands rough and aggressive. He took off the blob and the squiggle, put lotion on my hands and grabbed the hot towel. Without airing the hot towel out he threw it on my hands which burned because it was so hot. I pulled my hands back and all he said was "oh is it hot?" and I said yes so then he took it and walked away. The entire experience was just horrible from start to finish. When I went to check out I told the lady what all happened, she was insistent that I stay and have someone else "fix" my nails and honestly very apologetic. But the new person didn't fix anything, she only did the designs. I was charged FULL PRICE ($80+) on absolutely terrible service. The two nails with designs look so much better, but the other nails which were just plain black matte looked absolutely awful. They had bubbles in them that weren't fully dry so polish was oozing out and because of the dust from the filing they were gritty and lumpy. Lucky for me I have everything at home so I was able to fix the black nails, but for $80 I shouldn't have to!!! I also shouldn't have been charged full price given the service I received. I 10/10 would not recommend Cassia Nail Spa and I absolutely will...
Read moreI was able to book a last minute appointment. Arrived to an energetic location which was great! Customers were very nice and welcoming. The first person at the desk finished with her client and walked off without even greeting or acknowledging me. The next lady to walk up was very nice and helpful. I didn’t see my polish color, but she assured me they had it. My tech did not introduce himself so I don’t know his name. He was nice and clean cut, but does not speak English so was unable to understand when I tried to make it a better experience for me. Had to ask several times for hotter water. He pushed my cuticles with no remover and was unfamiliar without using product. Kept getting up to borrow items from other techs. Completely bypassed any attention to ingrown toenails during shaping. I appreciate salons that address this detail. Paraffin wax not hot enough. Massage was an oily rub only on my legs, zero pressure and zero attention to my feet. I chose the service that included a longer massage because I work on my feet—so I am very disappointed. I flagged down 2 other techs, they told him but barely understood me either. He was not happy about making the wax warmer. He left and came back with the same temperature bag. The hot towel wrap was not hot or wrapped—I went from a hot rinse to cold air to lukewarm wipe off. The pedicure room is dark and serene with a water feature. The ambience was great! The shape was fine. The polish took a few tries on a couple toes and the cuticles weren’t cleaned. I asked him to include this step and he asked “why”. I asked for a different tech, twice, but no one seemed to understand. I would return based on the happy customers who knew who to choose. Next time I will request one of their recommended techs who would probably be more comfortable operating the equipment and providing an EXPERIENCE. The service was about 45mins. David did offer me a water at the end and remembered to turn on the massage chair at the beginning. Lastly, I’m pretty sure the soap in the ladies’ room is sanitizer. Conveniently located and affordable. Give them a try! :) Also, they give you $5 off and enter you in a drawing when you...
Read moreThe location is ideal for me, which makes it even more disappointing how bad my most recent "manicure" was.
I have been here once before and I really liked it when I got a pedicure and thought i found my new nail spot, however after this I doubt it.
I looked through the reviews to try and get a highly requested manicurist and scheduled an appointment with him.
I get there and I am waiting 30min past appt, seeing everyone come in after me get serviced.
The front desk person apologizes for the wait (I dont blame the manicurist, his original appt slot for the person ahead of me probably wasn't scheduled for enough time).
They offered me someone else or to wait. I had a lot of things to do that day so I took the next available person which was a mistake.
This person did not give me a manicure. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got in the car. The session felt extremely rushed and judging by the results i was right.
She didnt have me wash my hands once, when she put on the lotion at the end I still had dust on me from when she buffed my nails so she just rubbed all the dust into my skin which was very uncomfortable. She did get a hot wet towel at the end and took off the lotion...which was odd. When taking off my cuticles it felt very sloppy and rushed, she didnt do the sides of my fingers at all as you can see in the photo. The nail polish application was very sloppy I left with gel polish on my fingers!
I gave 20% tip so the total for these were 50$! For a 30 min service that usually is at least 45-1 hour.
They asked how everything went and have little review card you can fill out but I am very no confrontational and the lady was right there and didnt want to make her feel bad that I wasnt satisfied.
Also like I said i didnt see how bad it was until i got to my car. I anticipate these ti start chipping in a few days due to the nail polish being oozed over to the finger rather than the nail. Which i did point out to the woman and she sort if attempted to fix but she should have just redone the nail in question. Very disappointed. 50$ down the drain!
I wish this allowed me to show photos, I have photos on yelp if you want to...
