Let me start by saying this building is super neat. There are two levels of seating areas that are cozy. I had a good time with my daughter on the rooftop enjoying our drinks. The only complaint I have is the coffee itself. I've tried their coffee once before a few years back and I didn't like it. I was hoping things had changed since then, but they haven't. No offense to the establishment but it truly is one of the worst coffees I've had. It tasted like it was burnt and it wasn't sweetened at all. I also got it flavored with french vanilla and I could barely taste any of the flavoring. It was basically watery, burnt coffee, over ice. However I would come back just for the atmosphere alone. I'm sure there are other drinks I can look for besides coffee and I will; just so I have a reason to come back here and enjoy the rooftop and the seating areas. It's a great little spot to get work done as well. I will know that my daughter got a fruit smoothie and...
Read moreStopped here on our way from Milwaukee to Appleton in search of a coffee shop that wasnât a big chain. Right off the bat, the environment was nice. The place is nicely furnished and has plenty of seating (inside and outside) to accommodate larger groups.
I ordered a cold brew with Oat Milk, and while I could tell that the coffee was high quality, it was not as strong as cold brew coffee should be. Cold brew should always be brewed extra strong to compensate for the melting ice!
I also had a bacon/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich, which was great. The âzesty mayoâ was on point, and the sandwich wasnât too greasy or sloppy. Everyone in my group was happy with their food, but apparently they cannot do any modifications to the sandwiches, which is odd. When my friend asked for cheese on his sandwich, they said they could not add it.
Overall this place is a cool vibe, and a welcome change from the usual Starbucks/Dunkin chains, but has a few small areas for...

So my first impressions of Fiddleheads was that it was going to be a quaint remodel of an historic Menomonee Falls landmark. In reality, once you enter in, there is zero character retained in the new design and it's lacking in proper acoustics. The hollowed out wood frame is very loud and not a place to get comfortable with a good coffee and Spotify playlist or podcast. I went here on a Thursday night, it was very slow and there were two high schoolers working the counter. I ordered a cappuccino and only waited a few minutes. The coffee was so bitter, it took me a second to swallow. It was about 50% coffee and 50% froth, at this point I wanted more froth than coffee. I feel like the staff needs better training on how to craft a good cappuccino. I'm just not impressed. I will most likely continue to go to Latitude cafe...
