Update: I originally gave this restaurant a one star. I tried it again and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The thing holding me back from a higher rating is the price and portion size. For $16 I would expect to have more meat on the sandwich. It tastes great, but compared to other area delis with similarly priced pastrami sandwiches the portion size is quite small.
Tried this establishment for the second time as I thought I would give it another chance. We were very disappointed. My friend and I each ordered a sandwich and a cup of soup. We both had water to drink. The bill was $42. My friend had a grilled cheese sandwich and I had a hot ham and cheese. Nothing too extravagant.
There was barely any meat on my sandwich. The lettuce was brown and wilted. It was on plain old thin white bread. This was extremely disappointing. We also thought it was odd that they do not offer condiments other than mayonnaise. It would’ve been great to have the option of a mustard of some sort.
We each had broccoli cheese soup. It tasted very processed. It was almost like they melted some Velveeta and stuck frozen broccoli in it.
The wait was also very long for two sandwiches and some soup. We waited over a half hour for two sandwiches.
I would highly recommend that the restaurant come up with a better system of delivering food to the tables. Having numbers would help tremendously.
We would have loved to try some dessert, but it was all store-bought and not fresh/homemade. They serve the once frozen cheesecake factory cheesecake, which is actually more expensive than if you went to the cheesecake factory. You would be much better off, going a few doors down to the Art Lounge for delicious handmade cheesecake.
Although the experience was very disappointing, I have said I will give them at least one more chance. I hope that after a month or so of being open that things will improve based on the reviews and suggestions people are giving. I will update my review once I...
Read moreI was out in Menomonee Falls with my Uncle, Aunt and two nieces. We decided to try this new Deli. As soon as we went in, I was so impressed. It was really welcoming. The way it was designed and decorated was so perfect. It was very spacious and plenty of room between tables. We were in line and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We sat and talked and looked out the windows at the beautiful surroundings. Here came the food, I was so impressed on how fast the food came. My Uncle had the Ham & Cheese and said it was really good. My Aunt had the BLT and said it was great and said you could tell how everything on it was so fresh. My two nieces had a grilled cheese. They were so amazed on how big it was. It came on this thick texas toast and when they pulled it apart, the cheese was melted to perfection. I couldn't resist on having the Lobster Mac & Cheese. It was so creamy and yummy! What a perfect combination. My Uncle is a diabetic and wanted a diet soda. I had a fountain soda, but they also have a fridge filled with a great selection of bottled soda, which he preferred. When we were done eating, the girls wanted ice cream. About five minutes after getting the ice cream, one of the girls dropped it on the floor. Literally within sixty seconds one of the ladies behind the counter came and cleaned it up with a smile on her face. The staff here are so friendly and always smiling. I definitely give this place a 5 star. I highly recommend it to everyone. I will definitely be back. Thank you for the great food and...
Read moreCHECK YOUR RECEIPTS- make sure that you’re paying the correct price stated on their over head menu. Visited for our first and last time here, unfortunately we were unimpressed with the overall experience. The food was fine but overpriced for what we got. The single scoop of ice cream for $2.75 was ridiculously small. What really ruined our lunch was a price fiasco- the pretzel a la carte is priced at $6.99 on their over the counter screen. On our receipt we were charged $9.96. My husband only noticed this after paying and seeing that the total was higher than what he had expected. I brought up our receipt to the employee and he said that the overhead menu had the wrong price, and he tried to change the screen to prove that they had a different price on a different menu, but could NOT find the pretzel priced at $9.96 anywhere. I asked if we could have the overcharged amount refunded and still have the pretzel, but was told that we had to pay $9.96 for the pretzel (a price that was NOT stated anywhere and NOT proven to be the price). His attitude was very nonchalant and he did not seem to care that there was an error on their end, something like price discrepancies is NOT a small matter. In the end, we canceled the pretzel and had our money refunded, but this seriously annoyed us and we will not be coming back. Do better Lunch Box, a lot of people won’t check their receipts and will be overpaying for...
