I am a patient of Dr. Hashmi who I find to be very good., however the staff is another story...recently I received a referral from my PCP to be seen for short term memory loss..The instructions were written on the referral to call me, the patient to set up an appointment, this was done on 9/27/2027...today, 10/19/2017 I called the number on the referral and spoke with a female who by the way did not give me her name, she stated they never received the referral, so I gave her the date it was mailed to me and she pulled up my chart...Well, she said that I had just seen Dr. Hashmi on 9/11/2017 and I told her that had nothing to do with this new referral I had in my hand, so then she says she is looking through my chart and lo and behold she finds the new referral, she stated that it was just scanned in to my chart...so I said to her that whoever is getting referrals needs to read them because what would happen if a patient had a serious issue arise, a new issue and the doctor sent a new referral for this issue and whoever scanned it in didn't take the time to look at the referral and the patient died? Who then is responsible? Of course she did not answer...then she tells me that there are no appointments available until January for any of the doctors in that office...so I asked her what am I suppose to do let my short term memory loss just completely go then? Then I say that I will book the appointment for January but in the mean time I will talk to my PCP and have them refer me to someone else, someone who can see me sooner and as soon as that is done I will call and cancel my appointment...this female hesitates places me on hold for about 2-3 minutes and comes back on the line with ( miracles of miracles) an appointment for Tuesday 10/24/2017 at 11:15 a.m. I asked her all if the sudden there is an appointment available and she says that there are two others working the phones and that appointment just became available..some miracle that was. Really, they need to do better because I am seriously thinking of asking to go somewhere else. Never have I had a referral from my doctor just scanned into my chart and NOT ONE PERSON READS IT ...how...
Read moreThis was a terrible experience with the office in general. They denied my referral to get a “pre-authorization” they said my ins required my dr office send so I jumped through that hoop which had just delayed longer then come to find out after I had to contact my ins finally and we did a 3 way with them they did it in error. Told me it’d get reviewed in 3-5 business days.. I called 2 wks later was told oh sorry..1-2 more business days..another 2 wks..my drs office called..”were reviewing..” yeah..that’s what I’ve been told..gave another wk then called said needed mri!! What?! I called to get that shared to them, no call a wk later called them was told they had it asked when would be scheduled got the MA Jazmine who was the ONLY good part of this office! She’s on top of things and very sweet! Then I met dr stary..he had his preconceived decision coming in. He didn’t even do a neurologist exam on me to check my weakness, etc..when he finally got pushed to it he was irritated about it, you can hear it in his voice and reaction, so honestly I don’t trust how objective he was being on the evaluation as I’ve been told by other neurosurgeons they can tell my weakness on my deltoids that indicate exactly the issues I say I have! He was short and curt. I asked how drs can look at same imaging and see completely different things not a little different but night and day?! But my symptoms follow the other?! But I’m supposed to trust one over the other?! This is my life! He had no explanation. I had pics of my MRI to show the pressing into my spinal cord and my “severe spinal cord compression” from my previous fusion and how this pic is worse and he said neither were a problem?! So my dr at barrow showed me this picture as proof of a spinal cord compression and took me into surgery 2 days later but it wasn’t?! He backpeddled and said he didn’t see the other view. And my other view on this one had “a ton” of space by my spinal cord. I checked when I got home the axial view and that was INCORRECT! I’d definitely...
Read moreDr.Narayan was very personable and friendly, he was compassionate and concerned about my Chronic Migraine Headaches and the treatment of medication I was receiving prior to coming to him for help. My very first appointment he charged my medication that I had been taking for like 20 years and said to follow up with him in 2 weeks. Later that afternoon I received a telephone call from Dr Narayan personally who said he was reading over my Banner Medical Records and noticed I had had an MRI lol on my Brain 6 months prior when I was Hospitalized for a week. He asked about the Hospital stay and what took me there I explained it all. He said well I really would like to get another MRI to see if there’s been any changes in the past 6 months? I said absolutely not a problem. He said okay then except a call from Banner Imaging. Again I was impressed that Dr Narayan called me personally and didn’t have his Nurse or His office person call. He...
