My sister and I went today to get our haircut. We’ve gone several times before and everytime we paid $35 to get our hair washed, cut and at the end they would also curl/ style it. This time however, the guy who works the front desk called us earlier in the day (about an hour before our appointment) and told us to come in earlier than our expected appointment time and when we said it would take a while for us to get there he said to come as soon as possible. So we did.
When we got there it was empty but everything seemed normal. I went first and I sat down in the seat, showed a reference photo of what I wanted my hair to look like and the front desk person translated to David, our hairstylist. He said it might look a little different since my hair is a little thinner but he can do that so I said okay. Everything was fine. He cut my hair and used the straightener to curl the ends of my hair as per usual.
With my sister, she showed a photo and told him what she wanted and he said okay he can do that. However, he cut her hair much shorter than she was expecting and also curled her hair without asking her.
After we finished our haircuts and we’re about to pay, David said something to the front desk guy in korean. They then said that they have to charge us extra because we had long hair that he had to cut and that he did a designer cut with styling. For my sister they were going to charge her $70 because she had a designer cut and she had long hair but because they didn’t wash her hair they graciously took $10 off. For me they were going to charge $60 but because I also did not get my hair washed it resulted in $50. I ended up paying because they were making me and my sister uncomfortable and I just wanted to get us out of there.
This is absolutely ridiculous, and I have never experienced something like this before with this hair salon or any other salon. Usually if they are going to add anything extra they would discuss this with us. But in the case they didn’t even add anything extra, in fact they took out the hair washing part and still had the audacity to upcharge us.
I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this place and I will not be recommending this place to anyone else unless they want to pay for unexpected hidden fees at the end. I have lost all trust in them,...
Read moreWORST HAIR SALON EVER! (AVOID MALE STYLIST)
I’ve been here for like 4 times when my hair salon’s not available. For all those 4 times, I always had to wait 10-20 mins more than my appointment time.
Also, I’m not sure if individual designer does not get any commission here, I could definitely see that the male stylist does not want to work. I had a tight schedule and female stylist was working on other customer. My appointment was at 6 and I got there by 6. Since I’ve never appointed any specific designer (I don’t think they have “pick your stylist” system either), I was hoping the male stylist could cut my hair. That guy just said “oh no I have another appointment”. 20mins passed by and I was still waiting but that male stylist’s “customer” never showed up and he was just looking at his phone. When my turn finally came with female stylist, there was another customer came in but the male stylist were saying to female stylist that “You can take this customer too” and I could noticed that the female stylist is saying “again? You’re not taking any?”
Well I think this is the worst system for salon can implement. I think they should go by “appointing stylist” and whoever don’t have any customer should get bare minimum so that their quality of service can be better. The same male stylist cut my hair once and his skill was so bad as well and he was rushing me to get it done. When I asked him for little more revision, he kept saying like “no it won’t go well with ya” and wrap the session up.
CONCLUSION : If the male stylist is the owner, oh well, it is his business so I’ll just let my friends know not to go this salon. If not, owner of this salon should be aware of these types of situation since this will make your salon run out of...
Read moreWhen I walked into the salon to inquire about a haircut, I was met with extremely poor customer service. The worker who was sitting down informed me that I needed to speak to her boss. However, when her boss finally acknowledged me, she looked at me dismissively and callously stated that they were busy, all the while gesturing for me to leave. This behavior was incredibly rude and unprofessional.
The complete lack of courtesy and respect for a potential customer was truly disappointing. As someone who was considering patronizing the salon, I was taken aback by the way I was treated. It's important for any business, especially a service-oriented one such as a hair salon, to treat all customers with kindness and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience at ParkJun Hair Salon fell far short of these basic expectations.
I hope that the management of ParkJun Hair Salon takes this feedback seriously and considers how they can improve their customer service in the future. It's essential for businesses to create a welcoming and respectful environment for all customers, and I truly hope that they can work towards achieving...
