UPDATED 2024:
There is no reentry into Sloan Park. Once you’re in, you’re in.
If you wanna park near stadium, It's gonna cost you.
I LOVE CACTUS LEAGUE!! Incredible seating with lots of shade and spacious grandstands for the fans!!go cubs! Best stadium in the Cactus League hands down. Get seats in the Budweiser 1876 section so you can be in the shade and have your own concessions. Be aware... It's open seating up there (just like lawn) so first come first serve. EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM.
Here's a secret. Park east of the stadium for FREE in the Shopping plaza East of Riverview Park and walk or bike to the stadium to avoid slow parking and wasting $10.
Also don't get your tickets online. Use box office at beginning of season to obtain tix WITHOUT tax, service charges (lame), delivery charges (what the hell is that) and to avoid the worst charge of all... FLEX PRICING. This is when they rip you off for tix to big games and it gets more expensive the longer you wait. Don't make this mistake.
GO CUBS!
I went to 29 games in 30 days in 2016 and 34 games in 30 days in 2015 and 39 games in 30 days in 2018!!
Trust me... It works.

Team Travels
The Chicago Cubs started training in Arizona in 1952, planting roots in Mesa until 1965. In 1966 they took a one-year hiatus outside the Sonoran Desert before landing in Scottsdale, where they would remain until 1978. In 1979, the Cubs returned to Mesa at Hohokam Stadium before moving into their current home at Sloan Park in 2014.

Read moreSloan Park in Mesa, Arizona, is as close as you can get to Wrigley Field without actually being in Chicago. As the spring training home of the Chicago Cubs, it’s a little slice of Wrigleyville dropped right into the desert—complete with die-hard fans, ivy-covered vibes, and enough Cubs gear to make you think you teleported to Clark and Addison.
The Ballpark Experience
Sloan Park isn’t just a training facility—it feels like a true home for Cubs fans. The design pays homage to Wrigley, with a similar layout and even a replica of the iconic marquee. The outfield berm seating is a great touch, giving fans a relaxed way to watch the game, and there’s really not a bad seat in the house.
The stadium holds about 15,000 fans, which is perfect—big enough to feel lively but small enough to keep that intimate spring training charm. The energy? Electric. Even in the preseason, Cubs fans show up in full force, making it feel like a regular-season game.
Food & Drinks
You won’t go hungry here. The food selection is solid, with plenty of classic ballpark options plus some local Arizona flavors. And yes, they serve Old Style, so you can keep that true Chicago experience going, even in the desert heat.
Location & Atmosphere
The park is in a great spot, with plenty of parking and easy access. Surrounding it, you’ll find Riverview Park—a nice place to walk around before or after the game—and a handful of restaurants and bars that keep the good times rolling.
What really makes Sloan Park special, though, is the vibe. It’s more than just a stadium; it’s a gathering place for Cubs fans who make the pilgrimage every year. Whether it’s your first time or an annual tradition, you feel like part of the Cubs family the moment you step inside.
Final Thoughts
Sloan Park is a must-visit for any Cubs fan. It’s got the energy of Wrigley Field, the warmth of Arizona sunshine, and the excitement of watching the team gear up for another season. Whether you’re catching a game or just stopping by for the atmosphere, it’s a perfect mix of baseball nostalgia and spring training fun.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just don’t forget the sunscreen—this isn’t...

Sloan Park is a beautiful facility with adequate seating, concessions, restrooms, and fanatic fans!!! You will not be disappointed!!! You can choose from regular seating (which includes ample wheelchair seating around the field-for the view you desire) lawn seats(sit on blanket in the lawn-not a traditional "seat").
