My group and I came here as we were waiting for a table to be ready at Mensho and because we had heard good things about their drinks.
The staff wasn’t very attentive when we were about to order and throughout the whole time we were there. My wife and I ordered 2 drinks and 1 macaron and we had 1 friend who ordered separately after us. They took a good amount of time making our drinks and finally called our drinks out but got our order mixed up with our friend and completely forgot 1 drink entirely.
I had to go up to the counter and ask for our second drink and the 2 employees at the register looked confused and like I was lying. One of them turned around and saw an empty cup with a sticker on it with what we had ordered and said they forgot they had to brew some tea and started finishing the drink.
The drinks tasted strange and we have been to a good amount of Boba places. After about 5 minutes of receiving our drinks I went back up to the counter and asked for the macaron. The woman at the register thought I was asking about another food item they had there and said I never ordered it. Another employee came out and was trying to help her and they started digging through the trash because they threw my receipt away without asking if I wanted it.
They couldn’t find my receipt and just said I never ordered it. I pulled up my bank statement and showed the amount charged which was more than just 2 drinks. I had to physically point to what I paid for and they finally realized it was a macaron that was packaged and thawing in their back room. They handed it to my wife and said word for word “just let it thaw for 3 to 5” and he paused. My wife asked if he meant hours and then he laughed and said minutes. We just walked way confused.
They were either teenagers or young adults so I can understand some lack of efficiency but it was just an awful experience. I also don’t know if you have to let them know upfront that we were waiting for Mensho to receive the discount or if they’re supposed to ask but that didn’t happen either.
Whenever we end up going back to Mensho we’ll definitely be skipping out on this place...
Read moreThe very first time that I came here exceeded my expectations - and I was going for Bosa Donuts right next to them, but they stood out. My first two drinks were their Signature Brown Sugar Milk Tea with no Boba and their Mango 🥭 Orange 🍊🧡 Tea. BOTH DELICIOUS and perfectly made by the female server on that day. Props to her, she did an excellent job. The third drink I ordered was a Non-Dairy Milk Tea with no Boba, made by the male server (who while I entered into the establishment, was on his phone in the backroom), and it TASTED WATERY. It wasn't all good, but that did not change my rating of 4 stars at the time. He wasn't very greeting towards me, as with today's order as well.
The entire environment is wonderful - no blasting music, not crowded at all, not busy. Same male server with glasses that did not have a cheerful attitude, but took my order along with another female employee. My order did not take long, and was prepared nicely. The same exact Signature Brown Sugar drink I ordered the first time, now tasted like water - it was that flat, and made by the very same male server. I would love to try again, but that is the second time, and final. Plus, their soft serve machine is DOWN YET AGAIN, I'm not sure when they will fix it, but they need to mark their over head menu as OUT/SOFT SERVE MACHINE OUT OF SERVICE so future customers will know.
Great for a nice and quiet environment or a get together, their customer service definitely needs improvement and their food...
Read moreMy experience here has been mixed it's either been really good or average. Week by week it's a hit or miss if everything is available or have to try again next time. Also for the prices, I dont think you are getting a good deal, nor is the quality worth the price.
You have an alternative a few doors down for basic boba. Less than 2 minutes down the street you have almost another dozen boba places with more variety. Their boba IS. Very soft which we do enjoy and obviously not microwaved like some other places do.
The service on this visit was problematic. We ordered online a head of time, said it would be ready in 10 minutes. We waited that long then walked in. Place was busy, waited a other 15 minutes, saw people who came in after us order at the counter and leave before us. Finally questioned them about our order, looked through a bunch of paper orders and confirmed our order and said it would be ready in 2 minutes. He then proceeded to make another order before ours and then finally finished ours with someone else's the point for me of ordering ahead is to a pod the line or waiting, but to have it ready when we got there.
