We have been a long time customer of Spencers. This last experience was not so great. They will always have the best pricing, no doubt about that, but sadly you need to go in well informed about refridgerators before you purchase. Our sales person, Edwin, was too focused on the sale and apparently not asking the right questions prior to making the sale. The only thing he was focused on was the opening for the refrigerator, and did not bother to ask any other details. Told us the fridge we picked out will be fine. We'll, it turns out that if you have a full wall next to your fridge, most fridge doors will not open. They delivered and installed and the door would not open. The installer told me "just go to home depot and find a Mexican to cut my granite counter top so we could get the extra room we needed. " this would not have worked anyways...math and all...anyways...I returned back to get a different model that would work in the space and got the...well yea if...because...blah blah...why was that not done the first time? They force sell new water hose, that was just literally screwed onto my existing hose. The installer had the fridge WAY back from the wall "because the hoses are in the way". Had to tell him to tuck them neatly back and then push...oh hey...look at that, you were able to push is back another 8-10 inches. During the exchange process, I called before hand to ask the process and details. A different sales person fielded that question and said it would simply be a $35 redelivery fee. When we arrived to find a new one, our original sales person helped us out again(edwin), told me I was killing him, said there would be a restocking fee and redelivery fee etc. Informed him what the other sales person said and then he acted like he was doing us a big favor, while putting on an act of eating bubble gum for diner to make this happen. In the end, Spensers made it right, just so much hassle that didn't need to be had. The sales people need to slow down and ask the right questions. Don't be so greedy for the sale, spensers already has THE LOWEST price in town and the pricing does all the work. Ask, educate, do it right...
Read moreUpdated post. I have an issue with my new dishwasher. I called Spencer’s and they sent a repair tech out. After looking at it, the tech( without removing the machine) he determined it was a “install issue “ with the drain hose.I did the install myself and followed the instructions to a T!! All the tech did was put a “ plumbers loop in it. I removed the machine as I was told and removed the water in the bottom. Reinstalled it and it seemed fine the whole day. About 11:00 PM it came on with the same issue. ( without being ran) I called Spencer’s back and spoke to a Manager(who was very rude and kept interrupting me) that told me another tech would have come out. I tried telling him that the dishwasher had NOT been ran and now it has water in the bottom of it. No mater what I said he did not care!!! He said a tech would be out this week. I have NOT heard anything. I feel that Spencer’s does NOT care about their customers! They only care about making the sale!!! I caution, anyone buying from Spencer’s , they will NOT take CARE of you once you buy something from them if you have a problem !!!! I will take this to the Media and social media! This is a month old has only ran three times and has not worked for two weeks!! The below post was my initial post.I have been a customer of Spencer’s for over 20 years. In that time I have needed to replace a washing machine a dryer and two dish washers. I have always been treated with the upmost respect and curiosity!! Spencer’s prices and customer service is what keeps me coming back, and being a repeat...
Read moreI purchased a Bosch refrigerator in the spring of 2023 and purchased a four year warranty with it. Two of my neighbors also purchased the same refrigerator as it was a special buy at the time. Since then, all three of us have had ongoing issues with the icemaker. After reading reviews on the Bosch website, this icemaker appears to be very problematic. Both Kelly, the repair person, and the Bosch manual say you have to empty the icemaker every 3 hours!😳This is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard of and if the ice backs up, it often freezes up you might never have ice again. First, the Bosch technician claimed my RO pressure wasn’t strong enough, so I hired a plumber. They came out and said the RO pressure was just fine and while he’d be willing to bump it up a pound or two anything higher could run the risk of blowing the seals. So after paying for a plumber It still doesn’t make ice. What is weird is it will go for days and not make ice and all of a certain decide to drop a tray or two and then stop again for days. It’s the strangest thing. In desperation, I called Devon, who was my salesperson, and he said he had never heard of anything so crazy as having to dump the icemaker every 3 hours. He was going to speak with the manager and see what they could do . Unfortunately, Devon never got back with me and he is not answering his phone or returning calls. So now I have a 4 year warranty with 2 years left on it and a icemaker that doesn’t work. Spencer’s service after the sale is not good. I feel like I have a lemon refrigerator and I’m stuck with it. You might as well go to a...
